Just finished watching this season. I'm glad l waited until the season was done so l could watch a few episodes a night and eally get into it.

This season was of course good, but not as amazing as the other two seasons, it was a little slow. The first is still my favorite so far.

Can't believe the second last episode, they killed off more of the main characters. I'm just hope there will be more characters to like, All my favorites keep dying.

Guess the good guys never win in this show :lol. Can't waite for season four, it will be a long wait.

Or vice versa. They kept one major character on the show that died in the first book!

Oh? I must have completely forgotten that - who are you talking about?

Charles Dance? I know from Alien 3 and Last Action Hero. But I'm sure he must have done lots of other stuff.

He's a classically trained theater actor. He did that for years before he ever got into movies. Having the Royal Shakespeare Company listed on your acting resume must help with getting a job for a show like GoT. :lol

I was going to post something to the effect of that - I didn't know he was in the Royal Shakespeare Company but you certainly get the impression he's done a lot of good theatre work.

Finally got a chance to watch the finale. Felt more like a filler to let things calm down after the week before. There were some pretty good lines in this episode. We will see where things go from here in season 4.

To be honest, I've felt like most of their real season finales are the 9th episodes of the season (Ned's Dead, Blackwater, Red Wedding) with the real finale dealing with the immediate aftermath of the big WTF moment the 9th episodes have. I hope that changes next season because they are becoming predictable to even non-book viewers.

I don't mind. It cuts down on annoying exposition in the season premier.

Predictable? In what way? You're saying that if the show would follow the format of every other tv drama, where most excitement is left for the last episode, it would be less predictable? You would still know which episode is going to have the most bang, the only difference here would be the number of the episode.

Making the 9th episode the "stand out" one is a great idea, becouse it means that GOT seasons don't end on cheap cliff-hangers. There is some catharsis, breathing space and closure offered in the last episode and the plot segways this way smoothly and more naturally into the next season. And it cuts down on exposition next year, as was allready mentioned before.
