Glad I didn't get into this line the licker statue was awesome then it want down hill.
by far re3 Jill is the worst of the bunch sculpt and paints are terrible for the price they should be better .

What is there to explain looks cheap no shading it looks plain ,sculpt is bad skin tone looks awful .
I seen statues in this price range that has better paint apps not to mention a $200.00 hot toys figure that looks superior in paint .

I have them in hand and they do not look like how you just described them.

Everything sideshow puts Bowen designs arh studios even dc direct has better paint apps..

Can you give me an exact statue? your being very vague with your answers.

I paid about £150 for Chris and it looks great. I wouldnt mind a commander Shepard statue but for nearly £300 I will be passing on it because i do not see it being worth that much money.
Also you can not compare statues to Hot "Toys".

Exactly two different collectibles. I prefer statues and the way they a presented other people prefer the realism of a hot toy.

You can, and you can't. In a sense it's like comparing RE3 Nemesis graphics to Resident Evil 5 graphics.

But you could desire to have HT quality paint apps on an HCG statue. And saying you don't like the paint apps on an HCG piece because you're so used to HT paint apps is a legitimate notion.

You could desire it but for a reasonable price you won't get it.
2 completely different materials used for the sculpting ect it really isn't comparable in my eyes

Pricing and materials are irrelevant to my point. I was saying why I understand someone would be unsatisfied with an HCG paint app.

I am looking at Nemesis, Chris ect right now in front of me very eyes the actual statues not a photo or anyone elses in hand photo pic the actual statues are in front of me and I can not see a bad paint job no smudges or **** like that so I'm happy.
A bad paint job too me is when I received a Cyborg Ninja from play arts Kai and it actually had a finger print mark on it and the paint was smudged in places which led to me selling it on.
HCG does not have problems like that so I don't see how they have bad paint apps unless I'm extremely lucky and have "special" pieces

I don't think that's what people are referring to when they say, "bad paint job". They're referencing the detail. Their human figures are considerably less detailed and less realistic then a HT figure. This is undeniable. Their creatures(Licker, Axeman, Nemesis), however are right up there with the best of them. Nemesis to a lesser extent, but the other two had me impressed the minute i opened the box.

I don't hold SS paint apps in as high regard as others. I believe you're referring to another poster? I would say both SS and HCG are comparable, in that they are both good to decent in their respective price ranges.
