Oh man... I like this, love teeth... but I kind of want the whole thing finished, like how John Wu is planning to do the V2. One stop shopping.

Do you know what the John Wu price is for the V2 sculpt plus paint and hair, finished? And based on his V1, about how long is that process... a year, two, more?

Dio will offer more info regarding pricing of John’s V2. Will not be the original $100 more that it was planned to be. Think $220-280.

Sometimes you just have to jump on a sculpt run and get the work done later. Locking one you really like in is better than finding a painter with no sculpt a year from now. I purchased my Interrogation sculpt from Heise August of ‘23, long sold out now. Glad I put up the $280.

I really struggle seeing unpainted sculpts and imagining what it could look like painted.
Which scene is this based on so I can kind of get an idea to what it could look like?

If he's reducing the price and offering a package deal, AND providing a discount for V1 orders... then my mind is thinking $350? Considering the V1 was $400.

But I don't know, that sounds too good a deal. One I probably wouldn't pass if it is the case.

Might have it all messy instead of clean, with shorter jail hair to make it contrast as much as possible with the other head.

The goals if I weren’t mistaken were -

V1 Penthouse
Yi Xie Teeth Pool Hall
V2 Prison Cell

But they’re all practically the same sculpt with subtle differences. He gave off that look a lot, teeth exposed looks great for Hit Me while still looking like Ledger.

I don't think one's better than the other.
They're just different, and the same.

The teeth is a more focused, aggressive variation. The original has that sinister daze that I find a little more haunting and sinister. But it doesn't work as well for a "Hit Me" pose, or something more close and personal.

The V2 (closed mouth) is the least interesting of the 3 I'd say.

I’ve never liked the sculpts that try to mimic the Hit Me expression exactly. Just not a good look imo for a figure stuck like that.



I think this new Yi Xie sculpt is a good “artistic liberties” rendering of that if you want him holding the M76. I like the versatility of being able to choose between the three or none at all.

I love that he's always changing his story. That it's all shrouded in mystery, and never stated explicitly.

I suppose the truth lies inbetween. His father may have been abusive. Maybe he had a softer spot for his mother, who also suffered at his father's hand. Maybe he had a relationship that went awry. Someone he deeply cared about. Maybe it ended in tragedy.

Or maybe it's none of that actually.

I wonder what story he would have told, before Batman tossed him off a building. Another piece to the puzzle perhaps.

The final one would no doubt
have been shaped around Batman or Bruce Wayne, as he alters them to mold around those he’s speaking to, having a better effect at entering the victims psyche in the moment.

John has to feed himself ! It's more than 350$ and less than 600$ ( the original price of V2 sculpture + hair + paint)

For my V1 it took about 5-6 months but I was amongst the first two people to buy one.
