Re: Pinhead

I'm a huge fan of remakes on all classics! It gives everyone in the new generation a chance to know the characters. Sure some are not as good. Then comes the collectibles all over again! Money for everyone on all sides. Win win!

OF COURSE YOU ARE a huge remake fan. Because that's you.

CLASSICS ARE CLASSICS BECAUSE THEY APPEAL TO PEOPLE DOWN THROUGH THE DECADES! They don't need remaking, because they speak to essential human truths! Why am I wasting my time explaining this to you, who would probably rejoice to see Dicken's "Great Expectations" remade with Britney Spears as Miss Havisham, and Carrot Top as Pip. *throws hands into the air in exasperation* If in fact you have ever read Dickens to begin with.

Re: Pinhead

Why does the 'New Generation' need a remake to 'know the characters'? Watch the original!
To much dialogue and not enough pictures?

Has a remake, of anything, ever topped the original?

Hoenstly I can only name three instances where, yes the remake was better(The Thing,The Hills have eyes and The Tool box Murders) BUT those movies were completely crappy the first time around, so it doesn't count.

Dickens? Not sure if it's a joke Ora real movie..... Britney Spears I actually loved her pop music. Not sure carrot top? Seriously I'm not joking around here. Never heard of those classic movies? I'm more of the action non stop / horror, fun type movies. Was never into gore movies like hell raiser or saw. I tried to force myself to see saw 2 since there was a hot sidekick insane crazy girl in the movie. To my surprise it was way to gross for me. I had to look down like 10 times in the movie. After that I never saw another saw movie ever again. Yucky! Not for me. The classics Freddy, Jason, chunky, scream, Myers, leprechauns, leather face movies where all fun and amazing to see. I tried to watch hell raiser for a few minutes and it was not for me. But I like the character a lot since he looks so cool! I still wonder what is his powers? I'm still curious if this guy can match up to Freddy?

Re: Pinhead

I love the original Dawn of the Dead, but I loved the remake, too. The original Rooster Cogburn is a classic, but the remake won Oscars. There are good and bad remakes. There are also reboots that come out way too soon, like the new Spider-Man movies.

Re: Pinhead

there also comics that continue's story after the second movie

yep, follow through the characters we know from the first 2 movies...and
harry d'amour
i've been following that...ish. the artwork alone is worth checking out. continuity is awesome....then goes to WTF is happening...and so on. haven't caught the last issues...that will keep me busy for a while. :lol

Re: Pinhead

Re: Pinhead

Oh silly me, when you say remake I assumed the piece of rubbish I watched last year. Always forget the 82 wasn't the original.
