Hellraiser reboot

Heard there is going to be a hellraiser remake this year. Though I'd find out what you fellow freaks think.

Personally I don't think it needs to be done, it will probably be garbage, but I will probably still go see it.

awhile back they were doing a remake but still had Barker on as director. Wish they wouldve stayed with that direction...

Thats weird from what clive had said in the past was that he was over the whole hellraiser franchise and was not interested in directing anymore.Would have been good to have him on board because we would get an original movie and not a stupid _____*king re-visioning.

I just read the article for that pinhead pic.Thankfully that is not the pinhead that will be in the movie (hopefully)

It was designed by the last fx guy to do the pinhead make up (which was also painfully _____) who isnt tied to the movie at this time (thank christ)

so hopefully the powers that be wont try and reinvent the wheel when it comes to pin-head.

One is set to release in 2012...but there's no word on anything about it. It could be dead.

The designs of Pinhead's crew are totally creative and they fit the gothic theme. Why they feel the need to create a reboot -- let alone redesign the characters -- is beyond me.

That would be good news if the remake was dead... but honestly just a matter of time before it happens.

That photo on the other page was not pinhead. The photo I seen he looks similar in design to the classic. Not saying its spot on, but similar and if Im not mistaken the movie comes out in the spring. So theres no chance of this going away.

Its gonna be an origins movie (supposedly), not a strict "remake". Hasnt started shooting yet (hopefully never), but was supposed to start sometime soon and be ready for release late '11 early '12. But director number 134,434,343 who was attached to the project is gone and they are "in talks" with director number 134,434,345.

And so far, word is that Barker is still attached as the producer.


But who really cares? Just got watch Hellraiser 1 & 2 if you need a fix. This movie has been on and off for at least 5 years now. When or if this ever gets made it is 110% gonna be a train wreck, just like the last 7(?) Hellraiser movies.

Best thing to come out of a remake is the possibility of new merchandise and blu-ray releases.

Like the Suspiria remake, I welcome it's existence because they'll probably release the original on blu-ray when it comes out.

instead of remaking Hellraiser, Clive Barker should make a Tortured Souls movie like he said he would.. They already have the characters designed and most of the story written for it. I'm still waiting for the day I can see Talisac giving birth to Mongroid on screen, and gets eaten by his own baby while suspended in the air defenseless
