It's a much more enjoyable episode when Hiro's not in it

Or Claire. Honestly, I feel like I'm forcing myself to watch it these days. I'm normally loathe to ditch a show after I've invested a few years in the stories and characters (hello, BSG), but this show is dangerously close to being the first.

The only thing happening on the show right now that holds my interest is the Parkman/Sylar storyline. I am ready to fast forward through everything else.

I don't mind crazy stuff. I actually like crazy stuff, especially on a show like this.

What I don't like is boring stuff, like Claire talking to her friend and then talking some more over lunch and then talking again by candlelight. Claire out of danger, out of action and almost entirely avoiding the use of her powers is not an exciting direction for her character. I'm sure it helps keep the budget down, but it takes my interest down with it. If I want to watch a show about the blossoming friendship of two college roommates, I will look elsewhere--something that many viewers are actually doing, according to the ratings for the new season.

I have to agree with you, Tom. Another problem I have is the actress playing Gretchen. I didn't like her on Californication and I don't like her here. She has an annoying quality about her.

Agree 110%.

Cool, I thought I was alone on that notion. Although I keep thinking she and Claire are gonna start making out at any given moment, I really don't know what the hell her character is supposed to do in this show other than follow Claire around.

I can't decide if the producers are trying to get us to think that, or if we're all thinking with our lower brain. :lol

Or we're bored and trying to make it seem more interesting then it really is.

I'm tired of Heroes, the Parkman/Sylar storyline is the only interesting thing so far but, I don't think it's enough to keep me watching.

I wish this was canceled instead of the Sarah Connor Chronicles. :monkey2

HERE, HERE!
This show has wasted so many "second chances", it's just getting almost laughable. The final straw for me was hearing that they hired Ray Park to join the show...great, I thought! A charismatic guy with a good physical presence and amazing martial arts skills...cool! What a pleasure it will be to see that on a weekly basis, especially if the story is up to snuff.
But instead, Mr. Park is reduced to a blurry bad special effect, with his fighting skills done in by uninteresting, choppy editing. How boring.

And the whole Claire's got a girlfriend thing is just gimmicky and boring as well.

The Parkman/Syler thing is the most interesting thread going so far, but like everything else on this show...it'll probably fizzle out to nothing.

Put a fork in this already...

I don't know, the whole "crazy Carnies" thing seems a little interesting to me. I'm not sure what is gonna come from the Sylar and Parkman idea, but it really reminds me of the Baltar and 6 relationship from BSG....except Sylar isn't hot and it'll probably end up lame when all is said and done.

I checked in and watched about 10 minutes of this new season and I am so incredibly happy I stopped watching this melodramatic dreck and reclaimed an hour of my time every week. I think if this didn't have superpowers, it would be some god awful soap opera you guys would be making fun of and couldn't be paid to watch week in and week out.

I think Sylar's plenty hot, but even Zachary Quinto can't keep me watching the show at this point.

This show is like an unhealthy relationship... I know its not going to change, but I keep coming back hoping for the best :monkey2

Last nights episode seemed to be one unforgettable scene after another. The "father daughter" scenes with Claire and Noah were painful. And as proof this show is boring:

When Sylar appeared out of Nathan's grave I didn't even care... that is not something that should have elicited a "meh" response.
