I told my wife that I was giving Heroes ONE last chance to win me over this season (with last night's episode), otherwise I was ready to ditch the show completely as it was boring the snot out of me. FINALLY we got an episode that had the same amount of energy and purpose that the first season offered. I'm a believer again... However, I admit I fast-forwarded through the all the TWINS segments, which helped me enjoy this episode a lot more. From the glimpses I caught while speeding through those scenes it looks like it was just more of the same dreck with those 2. I believe Kring has said certain new characters will die off in the conclusion of this 'Generations' story arc (before moving forward with a clean slate for the 2nd half of the season), forgive me for saying it but I sure hope the twins are the first on the chopping block. Seems natural anyway, seeing as Sylar has spent the entire season thus far plotting to kill them both anyway.

I also have to say I find ADAM much, much more interesting in his current incarnation than as the cheesy Kensei. Bravo for that transition... As someone said, I like not knowing who's side he's on. Looking forward to next week!

p.s. I don't know know what's more disturbing about Maya... The fact that people die when she cries, or the fact that she cries ALL THE DAMN TIME!

The thing I didn't like was the commercials made it sound and look like all the questions from between the two seasons would be answered. They didn't even touch on how Sylar and Candice escaped from New York and how they ended up in the middle of a jungle even though they showed the open manhole cover in the commercial.

They sometimes edit stuff out for time and focus on it in later episodes. Perhaps that's what happened here.

I just hope that the next volume makes up for this volume. The season is finially getting good, but it's already half over. Oh well, just wait and see I suppose.

This last episode should have been the season premiere...just amazing!

It still would have worked....Kensei's "reveal" in ancient Japan could've been handled a little differently (that whole Hiro-in-Japan segment could've been shorter) and one episode could've compacted the first three and then the episode from two weeks ago highlighting Matt's dad could've been next, then last weeks...and then the final three...

Now the show is ramping up again...only to end in three more episodes.
I agree about the twins...it's just not working. I hope they are written out before the season moves on again....let Sylar kill 'em to show he's still plenty evil...

Glad to see this show find it's footing again...too bad we had to waste more than a month getting here....

Indeed it would be interesting if Sylar wound up with BOTH of their powers and could essentially kill/save anyone within his midst on a whim.

But he'd have to force himself to cry and I don't think any of us want to suffer through more of that crap :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

I don't necessarily think it's the tears so much as when she gets upset.

The whole black ooze in the eyes thing can't help but remind me of the X-FILES, though.

see, I thought that the "virus" that kills 93% of the world's population was Maya's powers that Sylar stole. I guess I'm wrong, but I still think that I'm right. The "virus" infects only people with powers, unless it mutates to spread over to the general public. I still think that it's Sylar that does it and we shall see. Why else would the idiot twins and Sylar have run into eachother...

Also, since peter absorbed the haitian's powers, shouldn't he be able to turn everyone's power inert?

Did he absorb the Haitians powers? Maybe the Haitian's power blocking power prevents Peter from absorbing it. And I love that its ambiguous as to who is on what side. Keeps you guessing on who you really want to root for.

Hmm, interesting. So is Peter's absorption of other people's power actually a "power"? Or is using the powers he absorbs his "power"? If it is, then Peter has two sets of powers, one to absorb them, and another to use them. I can see the series heading this way. Kind of live regeneration, it's not really a power which you can turn off (like flying, or shotting lightning), it seems a more natural uncontrollable action. Wonder if the show is going to discuss this route. Hopefully Volume 3 will answer some of these questions.

Sylar and Peter are 2 sides of the same coin. Sylar can see how things work and by studying a hero's brain he can duplicate their powers. So if he could cut off the top of the Haitian's head, he could steal his power.

So by rights, Peter's auto-absorption of powers should also work on the Haitian.

Couple of reveals from things that confused me when the show was starting.
1) Now I know why Peter can send jolts of lightning from his hands.
2) It's not apparent if Kristen Bell's Dad is "Bob".
3) Adam (Kensei's)power is immortality??? So how is he dangerous? And how did he persuade the cop's Dad to do his bidding?

I'm thinking it's Adam, actually and that they're in cohoots. Also note: When Peter and Adam escaped from the hospital, the Haitian went after Peter and she went after Adam... but we did not see what happened between them.

You answered your own question. He's dangerous because he is manipulative and persuasive. Bob even mentioned that Linderman was one of his "disciples". Adam's been around 400+ years and thus he knows how to push buttons and pull strings. He's already become my favorite character on the show.

I believe it's persuasion (kinda like Eden).

Then again, if that's the case either she didn't use it or it didn't work on Peter and Claire last season. :lol

It is but she needs to be in physical contact with the person like she was with Nathan's wife at the hospital.

Adam's power is to heal. It would seem that to extrapolate that, it could mean he heals old age as well. So Claire may also be immortal.

And is Adam the ancestor of all the heroes?
