I couldn't even get into the Heroes panel the first year which was before it had even aired!

They don't tell you that you won't get in, they let you stand in line outside for the entire length of the panel.

I was there for the panel that year, but kind of regret it as the original pilot they aired was substantially different from what ultimately aired. I was waiting to see what happened next in a few story threads that were either cut out or totally changed, and so I stopped watching when it ended up being different. I did eventually catch up on video and was looking forward to season two--which ended up being a bit of a stinker that was starting to redeem itself before the strike capped it off. Season three had better be good.

It wouldn’t be the San Diego comic –con without a Heroes update right? Well apparently the biggest news came out just a few days shy of the event. Entertainment Weekly scooped everybody when they dropped the news about the latest addition to the cast.

Robert Forster will be joining the cast of Heroes this upcoming season. Apparently Forster will be playing the role of Arthur Petrelli. Yes we know that Arthur Petrelli has dead since episode one. When a show has regular time travel as a part of the story the sky is the limit as far as what they can and will do.

The rumor mill has been working overtime online as fan sites have been speculating about the ‘return’ of Arthur Petrelli. Will he have powers? It’s likely a safe bet. Will he be evil? That’s the burning question considering that this new season is supposed to be about villains.

This also has a lot to do with Peter Petrelli’s mother Angela, who is played by Christina Rose. Rose hinted recently that there would be a big reveal that will blow fans away. The first hour of the premier was shown at Comic-Con and there was no such reveal, maybe in the second hour?

Robert Forster is a veteran actor who has over 130 film and TV credits. He should be a welcome addition to an already large and highly diverse cast. There is no way of knowing when he’ll show up on the show, for all we know he will show up in a series of flashbacks.

With his oldest son getting blown away in front of reporters in the season finale this new season of Heroes should be very interesting, we’ve already heard that a super speedster will be joining the cast, plus other characters that just got their start in the second season.

Heroes season 3 airs on NBC September 22nd.

Me either, I saw a trailer (I guess that the best way to describe it) when I saw TDK the second time. It was really awesome.

:lol That's funny. Sometimes I do wonder what these celebraties think of all us geeks at these things.

Nerds Join Heroes

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Robot Chicken's Seth Green and Breckin Meyer (he writes and does about half the voices on the show) will be joining Heroes as...wait for it...comic book nerds who "advise one of the Heroes." A lot of people took me to task for my negativity after that third season preview came out last month, but man, this sounds like a terrible idea. Not that I have any problem with Green or Meyer—chances are they're very good bets to play nerds who are even remotely interesting—but if they're mentoring a Hero, then it's probably a new Hero, and then this will inevitably turn out to be yet another sub-plot that's a total waste of time. Maybe it'll be a regular Hero like Parkman, which might be okay if it's tied into the main plot. But man, I hope it's not Claire, since we already know how Hayden Panetierre feels about these people.

Just a reminder, SEASON 2 comes out on DVD & Blu-ray tomorrow (8/26).

And, of course, there will be special Exclusive retailer editions of the DVD set. I kinda like the Kensei mask one at Best Buy:

This is the one I'm getting. 30 minutes of extra footage is more important to me than the mask at Best Buy.

But what is the Extra Footage? The one on the Season 1 set at Target was just a Q&A session with the Cast.

Hell most of the included footage was subpar in season 2, the 30 extra minutes must mind numbing :lol

Although for its faults, still fun and definitely looking forward to season 3 and hoping they can turn it around.

I wish I'd known about the extra - I preordered from Amazon.

JUST a Q&A with the cast? If it's the Paley Center gathering - people pay hundreds of dollars to get into those things. Almost every show I've seen it for has been very entertaining.

Any questions for Hayden Panettiere? I'm interviewing her for TOTAL FILM at Dragon*Con this Sunday.

(Keep 'em clean, ya pervs :lol )
