Ah....makes sense considering the watchmaker motif. Although I loved the reference to eating the brain. He is seriously one of my favorites if not my favorite of the series....Peter a close second because he reminds me of the character template that Luke Skywalker embodied.

Ugh. So far I really like the new season but didn't like the tidbit at the end about Angela being Sylar's mother....I hope is an act to get what she wants because I'm growing slightly tiresome of the all the Petrelli connections between Claire, Nathan, Peter, Angela, Arthur, etc....I'll say one thing. I'm definitely interested and buckled in.

Damn, I'm gonna need to rewatch this episode like 2 or 3 times to get it all!! There was so much crazy stuff going on! Man!! This maybe the best season of TV in my life!!!!

Heroes, BSG, Fringe, Terminator, House.... GODDAMN!!!!

So, Mohinder's new ability is turning into Jeff Goldblum? Add that with the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and this show is becoming less original by the minute.

Well, they seemed to have continued the WORST sub-plot of the show in the idiot Mohinder and the Telemundo Chicka, thanx creators when you said you were going to get rid of the crap, sure didn't in my opinion. Nikkesica is back...was SO happy when she died, alas, now I'm sad again.

Looks like we will be getting more Sylar, with him being Noah's partner. At least their is one glimmer of hope.

After that scene happened I though to myself "I bet by the end of the episode he's going to be in front of the bathroom mirror pulling body parts off" and damn if it didn't happen. :lol

:rotfl:rotfl I thought the exact same thing. It's even freakier that the actor looks a tad like Goldblum as well.

I thought these two episodes redeemed last season (I didn't care much for season 2) but we'll see how the rest of the episodes play out (I've seen great episodes in season 1 and 2 to only be disappointed by really bad shows and horrible season finales, bleh).

I still wish Nikki/Jessica would just get killed off. Her character has ALWAYS annoyed me. Claire has been annoying and not so throughout the show but this season seems like she might finally get in my good graces.

Lots of great questions came up today. It will be interesting to see what answers we get.

I really liked these episodes. They've learned not to introduce a new hero without their story tying into a main character story - such as Hiro and Daphne. I really liked Mohinder here even though you knew his glee at having powers was bound to turn out badly.

Maya could always speak english - one wonders why her brother couldn't though.

I liked Nikki/Jessica and I'm curious where they're going with Heidi. And it's great to have Malcolm McDowell back - but does this mean Nathan has Linderman's power? And why God? He thinks Linderman healed him, so what's the deal?

And I'd called Sylar last year - that as a watchmaker he just sees how the brain works and then makes the adjustments in his own. Claire getting all "I'm not human" is kind of weak though.

Anyway - very pleased with the premiere - let's hope they can keep it up.

AND MORE ELLE!

LOVE me some Elle, could watch her read for 60 minutes.

The Claire "I'm not human"....she has been saying that for 2 full seasons now, time to get over it. No character development at all.

I don't remember, Linderman can heal right? Kinda hard to heal when you've been dead for a while...interesting..................

Yeah, when I first saw him hanging from the rafters I had that vision of Brundlefly :lol

Still, I really enjoyed the season opener... some parts still have that contrived feel to them, but all in all a good start. Looks like they will be relying heavily on messing with us as to who to root for and who to fear.

I was thinking more like Spider-man. Increased reflexes, increased strength and agility, walking up and down walls and continual uncertain mutation. Though the increased aggression is more like the Fly.

Also, does it not seem like there is a "Hero" for everything? "Boy Peter...I sure could use a snow cone right now" "Oh...you want Phil in accounting. Just push his index finger down and hold the cup under his ass".

I found myself annoyed with Claire quite a bit last season... I think they overdid the pissy teen angle and it made her come off too whiney. Hopefully she fairs better this season.

She is gonna be much darker I think this season. The whole "loss of pain, loss of humanity" isnt just a one show thing. Without any fear of death and now no fear of even pain....why should she be responsible at all.

I think its wierd that they brought in her mother though....the whole scene seemed "set up" and forced. Which makes me wonder if it was supposed to be, or it was just a bad scene.

Good episodes, loved some goofball laughs like Claire thinking Sylar would eat her brain, nice nod to the dorks that actually thought thats how he got the powers. It was clear from the early episodes that Sylars skill was to "see" how clocks and stuff worked.
For a second I was like "oh no" when Parkman heard the turtle, lol.
One can only hope that Mohinderfly arc has a twist.

It did seem obvious to me that he would just see how they work like clocks, but it was no accident that people thought he ate the brains. They definately tried to portray it that way (and may have even had that in mind early on).

They always came across a body that was "missing a brain". Why would Sylar take it with him, and what did he do with all of them then? Plus he often referred to the desire for a new power as "a hunger" which now is identified as his term for craving more power. Finally, i believe after killing and gaining a new power in the first season he was standing over the body and licked his lips. All just red herrings, but definately not accidental.

Yeah, Hayden is hot and that's all she is good for. I am getting really tired of her Present character. I did like her Future character though. Just like everyone else, so tired of the whiney HS girl Claire!!!!

Killer episode(s) or whatever it was! Good way to start off the season IMO. I'm gonna try to rewatch it tonight, as there were so many little things happening during the show that I kinda missed. Lots of good clues for the season.

Yeah, that was an odd choice... but I guess they wanted to bring her into the fold so that was a easy way to do it.

Sylar eating brains was most definately the direction that the show was going. It was even mentioned by someone envolved with the show. I can't remember who (writer or producer?) but I heard them loud and clear on a podcast state as much when asked the question of what Sylar did with the brains. His reply was "I always assumed that he ate them." That's were that belief started and spread.

With that said, I'm glad that they decided not to go that way. I always thought the eating brains thing was lame. In fact, this premier screamed "We're fixing everything!". Some of it seemed contrived but I don't care. They are definately returning to were the show began. Before the ratings got high and they decided to tone it down to be more family friendly.

Yeah, they definitly didn't seem to hold back on the violence last night... which is always a good sign.

And greatings fellow Okie :rock
