Wow,
maybe it's just me, but I thought last nigh episode was brilliant!!
Sylar playing ala Saw, was awesome!! I knew Claire's mom was going to be killed,
and Nathan vs. Peter was pretty good, reminded me of Season 1 a lot!!
The Ando bits were funny as hell!! Great job!!
And getting Hiro back was great to, if a little "rushed" (pun intended)
My only complain is Mohinder... I thought he was going to die for sure...

Yeah, I agree. This season was really solid and for the last few weeks on-the-edge-of-your-seat television. Granted, its the only show I watch, so it remains a bit of an event for me.

Well she has no power now.

And for being a illegal alien that new little to no english, she sure does know her way around new york.

NYC is the easiest city in the world to get around. In all my visits I've never been lost and you can drop me anywhere in its 22 miles and I could get to another point without having to ask for directions. Since I'm not American, I can say that her ability to do so is very realistic.

The show could go off the air at this point and I wouldn't miss it that much. It's going nowhere and I've just about given up on it. They need consistency in the characters and some sort of coherent direction to the now aimless plot.

Kind of feel the same way... yet I keep tuning in. Guess I'm hoping for a turn around that never seems to happen.

I was just mentioning it because it shows Sylar going all blacked eyed in the preview for Volume 4. So I'm wondering if he does find her and kill her??

She has no power like Evilface said, but you see what the Formula did to Peter in the season finale,he got his ability back...which is to absorb powers from anyone close to him, maybe something similar happens to Maya, gets her powers back somehow.

i wasnt paying that close attention to the scene to completely remember it, but i assumed that was from the second season when maya used her powers around sylar.

Yeah, but Sylar has to cut them from their head to get their powers. He didn't really have his absorb power then.

But like I said, the scene was from the preview for Volume 4, so we will see in a bit more than 6 weeks!! Feb 2 can't come soon enough!!!!

Nathan's flipflopping is the biggest problem for me with the series. Wasn't he a religious zealot for a couple of episodes?

And I think it would be kind of cool if Peter had his original power back, but was reset so he doesn't have anyone else's yet.

But I'm encouraged by Fuller's comments - the show really has gone off the rails in the first part of season 2 and this season - hopefully he can rescue it.

I just assumed that Peter got the ability to fly when he injected himself with the formula, I didn't think that he got his ability to absorb powers back and absorbed Nathan's. I guess it's a possibility and I think it would be great if that is what happened, I missed seeing Peter with all his powers. What do you guys think?

Think about it,if you inject yourself you can get any power, its a gamble...By all things Peter got the ability to Fly again?nah i think he got his ability back and absorbed Nathans ability.

I wonder if everyone's powers might have come back if it was taken by Arthur Petrelli. Which would give Hiro back his powers and Maya.

maybe...i cant see how else Hiro can get his power back unless someone sneaked out a few bottles of the formula.

Finally watched the last two episodes now that I'm on break...

Are these happening across the same amount of time as the episodes are premiered? I always thought they were on their own time, that basically it's only been like 1 year or so.

Matt Parkman gave the definitive answer in Episode 12: Out Father. He told the messenger that Isaac Mendez died one year from those events. Which mean that Volume 1 through 3 have been one calendar year.

Suresh said its a crap shoot with abilities. Peter injected himself giving him the ability to fly, nothing more as the audience knows yet. The thing is we saw Hiro's mother able to undo the damage done by Arthur with Hiro at least mentally. Which means if Peter and Hiro (since both had their powers removed) get to a healer then they'd reboot. But as of right now we have no other visual course than to assume that Peter simply "spiked" himself with the ability to fly.

The formula prolly reset his original power since it was in his genetic makeup already. So he starts over.

I don't think so. We saw a glimpse of what the formula can do with Captain America. What you have to remember is that Meredith's brother was also in there. If his empathic mimicry was rebooted he'd also have gained that power as well. You also have to remember that when he gains a new ability as seen in The Genesis Saga that he can't really control it once obtained it. Two powers rushing at the same time and he'd had lost the chance to fly out, he only had the flight so he basically used it ungracefully which is why he flew that so far away because he was acting on pure adrenaline. I really don't think he has his mimicry just yet.

The powers are not unique to an individual as we've seen a couple of prophets, etc. Since Arthur stole the powers (unless they do a real serious lame move that they all go back after his death) its more probable that he could have found another with those abilities easier.

All he has to do is visit Hiro and Syler and he's set.

Hiro is without abilities thanks to Arthur.

I like how they had Obama as the president at the end of Vol. 3.

That is WORF! :rock

One small issue here. Arthur said he stole ALL of Peter's abilities. Which would have included Claire's healing. He was shot in the head and proclaimed to be dead, wouldn't that power have naturally kicked in as it has with every other person with that ability on the show?

oh no, thats not what i meant either. let me see if i can explain better.

you know how when maya uses her powers, all the people around her also have their eyes turn black?

i assumed that scene was from the second season when she used her powers around him, as this did happen a few times if i remember correctly.

remember, arthur didnt heal because the haitian was standing by. also, as long as something is lodged in the brain, the healing power cannot work. this could be seen earlier in the season, and i do believe it was mentioned a few times as well.

im also pretty sure peter does have his absorbtion powers back. i understand what youre saying, but thats a smarter theory than most viewers of the show would think of. i know mohinder said there was no way of telling what power a person received, but the way the formula mixed with a person's genes is what caused this. im assuming since peter's genes already caused him to gain absorbtion powers, the formula would just bring back the same powers.

That is my point, the second that the Haitian left he'd heal so then he wouldn't be dead. Claire said herself that it has to be at the base of the skull to stop the healing, even when Peter "died" in the beginning of this volume she shot him in the back of the head. If Arthur stays dead its just another continuity error in the show.

It gives them the option to bring Arthur back, but if the bullet is still in there he should remain dead. They should chop his head off.

And the more I think about it, the more I'm sure that the formula reset Peter and gave him his original power. They've implied that it's genetic as to what power you get and someone already with the gene for a specific power would be jump started by the formula (just like the eclipse did the first time).

So Peter flew because he was near Nathan and has no other powers but will be able to acquire them.

But I think we're putting more thought into this than the current writers - so actually anything could happen.

I agree that Peter regained his original power and then used Nathan's.

This show has very little consistency and logic behind how the powers work. To establish a consistent logical framework for the motivations and mechanisms behind what happens I think is a fool's errand. It doesn't make sense and add up the way a show like Lost does. It's been playing by soap opera rules where two characters will hate each other one episode then sleep with each other the next, then inexplicably be hunting down diamond smugglers the next with no real rhyme or reason other than the whims of the writers. :huh

Good news is, with the complaining and low ratings, I think the writers have recognized this hence the reboot of the gang back to season 1 status. Hopefully, Bryan Fuller returning will smack them around and bring some focus back to the next season.
