I agree. I went from if it looks good, to it looks fine, to it looks like Arnold, to it's fantastic.

I am not sure why the posters above thinks this looks bad. This looks close to great imo. Great being Hot Toys level.

I think it's the face not having an expression(stoic). When I envision this guy, I think angry/screaming.

When I envision Terminator, I envision stoic. That's what is throwing me off at least about the Barbarian.

Just because it's quite obvious that the sculpt is ment to resemble Arnold, does not mean it's a good effort.

Yes, it obviously is the sculptors interpretation of him. And even still, it's off by a mile imo.

I think having actual hair give's it a different register. Had they sculpted the hair, I think the likeness factor would have gone up several notches. Right now it has something of a doll look which takes away from the presentation.

Did everybody here watch the video Waiden posted a few days ago? The sculpt looks much better in less overblown lighting. I think this may be the best Arnold Conan we're ever going to get. I personally can't wait to add this guy with my other '80s screen icons (like Prince!).

That lighting does make the sculpt look passable. But that rooted hair is an absolute abomination from any angle or lighting.

I'll admit, I'm a huge critic of rooted hair because if it's not 110% perfect, than I consider it completely awful in my eyes.

I hate rooted hair on ALL figures, but this sculpt is very well done and what Conan figure out there is drastically better in both clothing and sculpt?

I went from hating it, to it being must buy after seeing the videos. I very much wished for an Angry Arnold sculpt.

I just don't understand how there are so many Arnold sculpts, but no one has done a happy Arnold, angry Arnold, laughing Arnold or smiling.

I very much wished for an Angry Arnold sculpt.

While I don't particularly mind the stoic look of this sculpt, the eyes could certainly benefit from being slightly squinted. They're a tad too wide open imo. Maybe. From side angles they look OK.

Or maybe it's the damn 80's Rock band hair style that's throwing everything off for me.

At least I see the effort put into it with these shots.
