confirmed from sideshow and they'll be sending me a complete replacement. seems wastefully but they will be inspecting it before it leaves the warehouse. cannot wait for next week

The purple plastic cover in the base has snapped across the middle and the chest light has started to flicker.

Quick question guys, when recieiving replacement bodies for various PF's or Maquettes, is it the norm to have the replacement sent in the original art box and shipper? Its just that my Galactus body arrived with all the original packaging...havent opened it yet...

Usually when you get a replacement body it comes in a totally different box. Unless you have to totally destroy your 1st statue you'll just get it shipped in a brown box.

can you imagine i open it up and it comes complete with hand attachments, base, etc...!!!

Guys, i recieved my Galactus Maquette replacement body yesterday and have to say that Sideshow's service has been second to none! Furthermore, the actual replacement was for the defective LED in the right eye of Galactus but i was surprised to see that overall finish of the statue seemed to look so much better than my first.

There was nothing wrong per se with the body i initially recieved but when comparing the two i noticed absolutely none of that gluey white residue which was noticable above his boot line, the replacement was perfect! Even the paint apps appeared to be brighter and more crisp! I also noticed the gaps around the face plate fitted more flush and didnt leave too much gap which i kinda had with the first one. I finally noticed that the magnets were a heck of a lot stronger on this replacement too

All in all i'm extremely delighted with the outcome, the LED now works fine plus i got a bonus extra faceplate too!! Here are some pics...

here it shows that now both LEDs are working fine...

so happy to see no gluey white residue around the boot line which i had on the original body i recieved

no gaps at all around the faceplate...

a new custom moon planet that i've added to the planets...

They think the broken base could be the problem so they want me to see how it is when it gets here. If it still flickers they'll be checking a new body and sending one out. Should get a perfect one unless they're blind or have low standards.

no worries pal, the shipping to the UK is $86 and the customs charge to the UK if im not mistaken is around GBP118. Hope that helps
