Eat your heart out, New Xbox Experience. Tomorrow, all Playstation 3 owners will get a chance to experience Sony's own answer to online socializing and game playing: a virtual world called Home.

There's no charge for the new feature

when i got into the theater it just kept repeating the trailer for twilight. got annoying really fast.

Home is so...boring. I intended to play some Resistance 2 today and saw Home so I dl'd the client and played around for a bit. It feels so generic and feature-lacking.

I saw one of my friends playing it today and it seemed really borning. Like there was nothing special about it and all people did was run around screaming out random retarded crap.

Why was everyone so excited about this?

If I wanted to see racial epithets spelled out on screen I'd watch a Spike Lee movie with caption/subtitles on.

The movie theater blows if you're not a teenage girl who likes Twilight.

I do not want to buy a pair of pants for $3, and having to download an area when you want to go there sucks. Why not include them all in the initial memory allocation?

I hope Home grows up into something more worthwhile in the near future (the next time I sign on).

Maybe they've locked the trailers down so different one's show in various regions.
The iTunes store sucks like that, I can't get at any of the trailers for Watchmen in there because I'm not in the U.S.

The arcade games where quite fun though (when you can get on them) got quite addicted to that carriage shunting game

Thats strange as i've seen the watchmen trailer in there. And I only have a UK account

Yeah I watched the Watchmen trailer as well, and screamed at the screen of Watchmen's director to bring back the squid!

I'm taking you mean for iTunes right ? maybe it's just because I followed a link through from Batman on Film and it took me to the U.S. section for it.

Home *could* be good if it was a lobby to organize online gaming or to play multiplayer mini games (like ones that are actually fun, not what they have now).

Right now it's a chat room that costs money for avatar features. Lame.

I wont some "items" when I got a certain score on echo-chrome in the arcade, it didn't tell me what they were or how to access them. Anyone figured that out yet ?

The items you can win are as follows:

Echochrome -
Receive 4000 points on Level A (gloves, shirt, pants, shoes that resemble echochrome character)
Receive 6,000 points on Level B (shirt)
Receive 10,000 points on level A (trophy*)
Receive 10,000 points on Level B (trophy*)
Receive 20,000 points on Level C (table)
Recieve 20,00 points on Level C (trophy*)

Ice Breaker (Level Unlocked may depend on score) -
Beat level 5 (beanie)
Beat level 8 (shirt)
Level 13 (pants)
Level 16 (boots)
Level 20 (trophy*)

*Trophies are Furniture, under the Ornaments Category

Also, in the Uncharted area...there are three doors that are locked. The codes to unlock them are:

Password Effect
1024 first and then 1577 383 Unlocks Downstairs Door
41675 Unlocks Upstairs Left Door
24312 Unlocks Upstairs Right Door

Has anyone been messing with Home as of late? I tried it again last night and things seemed alright, just dont like the having to redownload the areas again after updates. They changed some of the stores around some, which is nice seeing it expanding some. There are also some free Resident Evil shirts available in the store now (2nd floor clothing). Was also able to get some arcade machines in my home after downloading the namco JP demo.

guess no one messes with this anymore. Ill call up sony and tell them to shut down the project.

Messed around with it today a little and bought myself the ninja top and pants, robot 1:6 figure and katana set for my house. Also entered the contest to win both Warhawk and Socom today as well....to enter you had to enter the gamers lounge and either be wearing the ninja gear or all black. the server that had the most people in the room would have everyone in the servers lounge would win the game set.

Haven't used it since just before Christmas either, it's a nice idea but at the moment there's nothing that makes me want to keep coming back to it.
