Yes it did! Hella people couldn't hear sound from their 360s after the update. And lots of people weren't even able to connect to XBL after DLing the update.

And it's a BETA!!!! It's supposed to have problems!!

Just look at all the other problems both consoles have had. Get over it people! It's a video game system!! It's not gonna kill you to spend some time outside or hanging out with real, live people.

God do I hate "perspective posts" like this. Drop the sanctimonious tone. Nobody here is in need of having a real life and expressing frustration over something this highly touted that doesn't work (in a thread devoted to it) is not an indication of such.

Sick Boy, we KNOW its a Beta and yes there is expected to be problems. Hell, there's going to be problems with just about anything that is "new" on the PS3 just because so many people are trying it out at the same time and the servers are not ready for that...its no big deal and certainly not a reason to get your panties all in a bunch. Yes I posted about the network errors and the servers being down and I find it funny...mainly because I knew it was going to happen. Am I upset, throwing a tantrum, and screaming at my PS3 because it won't load Home...no. I think you need to take some of your own advice and go outside and walk around a little. As Irish said, this thread is to talk about the launch of PS3's Home, problems and all, and is not here to belittle people.

Well after having been in the closed beta for a while, and now being in the open beta, I can honestly say it still sucks. No point and it'll be a long while before they make it relevant for anything.

No, I understand people getting mad over the fact that it bricked their PS3 or something, but we all know it's gonna have problems because it's a beta. That's why they have betas, so they don't have to pay tester to do it for them.

But when people complain because it doesn't have everything there is or stuff like this:

What a piece of crap. Server timeouts at every turn.

It's kinda naive is all. We know that the connections will be ^^^^ty, cause it's happened everytime there is a PS3 update. (Well, 85% of the time) And when everyone is DLing it at the same time, what do you expect.

That's all. Hell, I'll be the first to jump on something when it has a real problem like bricking or killing sound or killing someones internet connection for reals.

Sorry JonZ, but it did sound like you were pissed off. But that's the problem with the internet, it's hard to dicerne people's inflection!

finally got around to trying it out and I thought it was alright, but not something I could see myself doing all that much....maybe something like once a week for a 30 mins or so. Went to the center, watched the Twilight trailer/music video (long loading eh), went to the mall...thought things were gonna be bought with game money but guess not. Also went into the bowling alley, like the sound effects in that area. But like others I did have problems logging into my thing at the start, and got d/c once while still in my home.

tried it and wasn't that impressed. it was exactly what i thought it was gonna be. i can't see myself spending that much time in it---and you spend real money to decorate your HOMEs?? dam...i'd rather save that cash for a game.

Its free but if you want to buy new clothes or stuff for your house you have to pay for them.

I don't know probably a couple of bucks but if I was gonna buy anything for a game it will be some more songs for Rock Band or some add on content for another game and not stuff for something like this.

I'm wondering if i'm doing something wrong... downloaded and installed Home last night on the PS3, and couldn't connect to it. I got an error everytime. Downloaded it after work and then tried connecting (even around 1am), and got nothing.

Anything i'm doing wrong?

No, you're not. The servers are just that crappy. The same thing happened to me and it was only this morning that I could get on and do ANYTHING... and I still timed out multiple times and had to reboot my PS3.

how did you see the videos? i coulndt find where to download them

This happened to me when i used my normal european account,i tried signing in to my USA account and it worked.

well guys let me tell you that after getting a taste of the real version of this home thing I am really dissapointed.

ok is free but if you want to have cool stuff like house, clothing, tv etc.. you got to buy it.
