To me, it's the price point that makes these QC issues really jump out. Batman costing less and coming out so nice, when you look at Joker and see an average $150 level figure and pay another $100 on top of that, you feel like you're paying mainly to have Jack's portrait.

Sadly, I think this is going to be the new norm. Figures are $215 a pop now, and rising. Hot Toys is clearly cutting corners like Karnis suggested. Par that with the fact that the edition numbers are well beyond tens of thousands and that means less attention and time on little things, like tailoring.

Honestly, my last 3 HT figures have been stellar, Barney Ross, Batman, DX Jack Sparrow, and I haven't felt corners cut or anything. I really think Jack's likeness cost more than we think and to keep the figure within reason, they had to cut corners on the overall figure to use his likeness. I can see this being a norm for cases where the likeness isn't part of the license for the film and costs a boat load to get.

Based on Sideshow's response to king, I don't think they'll replace it. I requested a refund.

You should at least try. Clearly both jackets are messed up.

It's worth it alone to see if you get the standard "every figure we inspected is the same" response. :gah:

Well, I'll talk with them when they get back to me, see what they say.

I'm almost positive Sideshow has my name on file under the "Do Not Help This Guy" column :lol

That's some shoddy tailoring for sure, Sean. Good luck!

Well, we'll know for sure if the next Jack Joker is plagued with signs of cutting corners and QC problems.

I'm wondering how they'll approach it. I seriously doubt it will be another DX. The question is, will they really have the balls to charge $250+ on a regular MMS release?

I'm on a list too, My T1 T-800 came with a paint chip on his nose and it was apparently unclear enough to them because I was told how the new paint jobs have details and blah blah blah. No, it was missing paint. You win some, you lose some.

You should be on the "This guy has dumped a lot of cash into our pockets over the years, let's f'n take care of him before he dumps us" list...

Sean, sorry to hear about that, dude. Best to take another shot elsewhere, maybe AE or some dealer who will inspect it for flaws for you.

Personally, I'm waiting for Jack 2.0. I think they'll definitinely do one, despite what they say they might do. They love them Jokers.

Yup. That's it. Hopefully you can put this one in the win column, Sean.

With the nonsense I had to put up with on my Joker, and the handful of issues creeping up on more Jokers, I'm gonna sit this figure out. I was gonna wait and pick one up down the road for cheap, but I don't wanna end up with one that has issues later when there is zero chance of getting replacement items if need be. Unless I can get one from a trusted board member that can assure me is without issues, no Joker for me.

Maybe if we get a second Joker, HT will handle it better.

Anyway, good luck, Sean.

Yeah, no kidding. All they had to do was send me a stinkin shipping label :slap

Whats $10 in shipping to help out a guy who has spent more than $10,000.00 with them and never asked for a refund on an item.

There was what looked like a glue stain on the collar and a snag in the shirt that left a vertical line running up the shirt and a "pinch" towards the top caused by the thread in the shirt being pulled out.

The spot was annoying, but I could have hidden it by positioning the head to cover it, but the snagged thread jacked up the shirt. You could clearly see it the snagged thread, and the "pinch" at the top where clearly visible.

No way was I gonna accept that on a $265 figure.

All I wanted was another freaking shirt, not like I demanded a whole new figure.

Definitely call anyway -- the more complaints the more SS will realize something's up and report it to HT. It may not make a difference but it certainly couldn't hurt to express your dissatisfaction.

I sadly agree. HT has become a monster and gotten too big for its pantalones as they say. This is the time for Enterbay to really make a move. That's why HT is so virulent against them.

Dang. Maul and King both getting duds and the famous Sideshow customer service is starting to get marred. Really hate to read any of that.

Maybe both companies are getting too big for their pantalones.

Whilst I feel for anyone who's waited this long only to get a figure with faults it was a much simpler time when only a few of us had this figure now all it is complaints complaints and more complaints :(

Be happy you got a good one then. Clearly there seems to be some issues with this first mass shipment to the states.

I wonder now if there will be a benefit to waiting the 6 weeks for the 2nd shipment? Perhaps QC will have more time to check more pieces. Especially if they hear the many complaints coming in here.
