Remember Godfather? Remember what you got and what you paid? :wink1:

(sigh) I wasn't in to collecting when this figure was released. Would love to have one considering it's one of my favorite all-time movies. Not going to shell out aftermarket prices though. Saw it going for $700.

I absolutley love this figure!!! This is how I got him set up.. Once again I recieved a figure withouht ANY flaws! :yess:

Less is more, IMO.

I am new to this hobby so the new price structure is all I really know. I do cringe when I look at some of the initial retail prices...$150 for the DX 01 02 figures and some people said they paid less and that was only a few years ago.

People have eluded to licensing costs and maybe it's true. In the end as others have said we are the ones opening our wallets and making the purchase...the only way prices will go down is when sales start declining...but I just shelled out over $500 for the Batman 89 pair and I couldn't be happier, so I guess I won't be helping to solve the problem anytime soon.

This figure is addictive...been waiting almost a year for it...and that hurt...but it is a lot of fun...I have even been ignoring my Clone Troopers...

Although I don't wholly agree with you I kind of feel the same way with a few of these figure coming out lately with these bloated prices. I mean, where does it end?? Loki is $220. Think about that for a minute. That's a lot of ____ing dough and your not even getting a lot with him and he's not even a DX. I don't care how great the outfit and sculpt is. Get real HT. I can only imagine what the Joker 2.0 is going to be. If that thing ( which I don't think it will) has 2 outfits your looking at close to $300. At the very least $240 + for another Joker. And I love the character but I just can't bring myself to lay down that kind of money for another Joker. Inflation is one thing but I can't help but think they are jacking the prices because they can. Can't blame them I suppose. Sorry, rant over. Back to Joker. Which happens to be my favorite figure right now.

Rant away cuz I agree 100%. There is no inflation, just a bunch of companies laughing at us numbnuts forking out the dough. At the end of the day nobody is forcing us to buy these things either, we choose to so we only have ourselves to blame. My issue though, was for the first time not seeing the value in my purchase. That ain't good.

HT began killing its market about a year or two ago. Look at all the product that is still on the market. Sure there are buyers out there, but not enough to cover all the product that has flooded the market. I'm sure right now HT doesn't care because retailers are still purchasing merchandise in high volumes. If the trend continues of not selling out at pre-orders that's going to change.
Most people can now wait for some of these pieces to be discounted. Three years ago that was unheard of. Don't get me wrong you could find deals .ie Elder2 $105, but you either pre-ordered or you were so out of luck.

Very well said cuz this IS the case. Sheesh, HT's must know something we don't know. Their marketing strategy seems naive these days. Or, maybe their excellent product has clouded their sense of common business sense. I dunno.

Yeah, I undressed him all the way down to the fatsuit and all the buttons looked like they were barely hanging on. It was not fun and I hope I never have to do it again. So if anyone has to undo those buttons for any reason be very careful.

Damn dude that sounds scary. Glad you came through unscathed.

When I got mine last week I immediately put the overcoat on, but had no desire to have it closed.

After reading about someone having a difficult time with the snap on the overcoat I decided to take a closer look at mine.

What the hell?

Oh, what the hell indeed.

I got a spare Joker trenchcoat off m.y.online (top rated ebay seller) for US$32. Probably didnt need to get a spare since my clip is OK, but wanted the spare in case I broke off the snap part. That was the best price I could find off ebay. The seller is great, and packaged things really well.

The snap on the outer coat is absolute crap.

It doesn't matter if you buy a new one or get a replacement, it will break eventually. The little plastic peg can't hold the coat shut, assuming you can get the damn thing in the hole.

Save yourself a lot of heartache and:

-Remove the sad excuse of a button from the coat.

-Go to your local sewing/fabric store. Walk in and demand that the person show you where the goddamn doll size snap buttons are. Explain that you are a grown ass man and you need to sew this button onto your $260 Joker toy. I got 24 snaps for $1.69.

Here is a link to an ebay auction showing what you need.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/5mm-Tiny-P...464?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19ca6bc788

-Buy some thread in the color you want to use (I just used black) and a needle.

-Go to youtube and watch a video on how to sew on snap buttons. I watched this one.

-Now that you are educated on how to sew, get that snap on there! It took me about 15 minutes. Now my Joker can wear his outer coat anytime he wants and open and close it as much as he likes.
