Jye4ever: you said that you mostly collect figures and things that you know you'll love long term and you cut back from buying the great looking ones on impulse.

It may be worthwhile updating your sig :lol :wave

I didn't mean your attitude as in "bad attitude," I just meant that, from what I could gather, you were more disappointed in the price than excited for the figure. I apologize for the miscommunication, as I did read into it differently than you may have.

It's all good, man. We can agree to disagree on the whole price thing. I think to wrap up my whole "attitude" thing, I just wish there was a little more sympathy for the fans that would love to own these, but can't because of the price, however it's determined. They have a voice here too.

karamazov80-it is now out of my system:lol. The money I have saved from free therapy here (and no Novacaine) will be going towards the car.

Nah, that Sig serves only one personal purpose, a constant reminder of my double fail with the HT Tumbler. :slap :slap

Long painful story :lol

Sig will only be retired after the HT 89 car is in my possession. :yess:

Lets hear it from the man himself

You mean the "Power Kick?"

You're right. It was the power kick. My Bob figure kicked Superman in the balls many times.

Apparently Toy Biz didn't pay the significant Bob the Goon likeness rights. That dude is awful even by 1990 standards:lol All that said...1/6 please

Not really. The flaw with NAM's Lamborghini analogy (and your Saks on 5th analogy) is that those items have always been unjustifiably expensive. Hot Toys figures used to be affordable for a lot more people than they are now. Prices jumped by 47% in a relatively very short amount of time. Everyone, no matter how much money they have, should have paused and questioned whether they should honestly be spending $265 on a single ____ing man doll, when just two years ago the same thing cost $179.

Not really. Your analogy is flawed. You're trying to make this seem like it's a huge price hike. But to be fair, we're talking chump change. To make your analogy more correct, you'd have to take someone who's paying $30 for Mattel's 12" Joker figures and telling them, "See, look at that, $250 for a Hot Toys Joker figure!" Yeah, when you look at it like that, there's a huge price jump. But my comparison was mainly from the perspective of someone used to the price of these high-end cars throwing the tantrum at a price that should've been more than expected.

Given DX03 was $200, DX04 was $200, DX05 is $250, DX06 is $240, DX07 (Luke) will probably be even higher than the Joker with LFL licensing and the displays, I really don't see how these prices for Batman and Joker are this great big surprise considering both fit in with the current DX pricing. Comparing it to last years prices is flawed. Everything's more expensive a year later. Oil's cost is up, shipping is up (as a result of oil) and the wages in China are also up.
