My guess is that is the hold up. I looked at some pictures of it from a year ago and a distinct points of light on the cycle where it lit up rather than even bands. I figure the promotional pictures from last year when it was announced aren't reliable because they probably photoshopped a glow onto the pics, like when they make lightsabers look on promo shots.

I'm really curious how this will turn out.

well to be fair even in the movie, you can see that around the wheels, it's lit up around at distinct points in the wheels.

You are right. At first I thought it was just the effect of the wheels spinning in the picture you posted, but I saw in the movie when Rinzler stops his bike to look out the hole Quorra made in the arena wall, that the wheels have the same lighting effect in a stopped situation as well.

I can't wait to finally see it. I've been trying to come up with a display option since I know it won't fit in a Detolf.

If you have the UK Disney Exclusive Pull Back lightcycle you can use the ramp that comes with it. Thats what I plan on doing, and it will fit in a Detloff, plus has the cool Tron Logo on it.

I really can't wait much longer for this! It's been such a long wait already! But they better be freaking perfect by the time it is released with how long this has been delayed

Mine has been paid for for six months now. I've kind of refrained from buying any other light cycles out of the hope that this will be the definitive version.

I ordered and then canceled and then have been on the edge of ordering for so long. I'm hoping that in hand pics will sway me one way or another.

This was announced so long ago that HT pricing structure has actually changed. When it was announced it kinda seemed expensive. By current HT pricing standards it kinda cheap. Wonder what this would be priced at if it was solicited today.

I've wondered the same thing but I've thought maybe not by a ton because of the Sam Flynn figure not being fully articulated. Maybe $350 with today's prices.
I've also wondered if all the research and development that had to have gone into this piece, if they would end up releasing a couple of other figures in an attempt to recoup the cost. I'm just guessing that there must have been some engineering issues involved with the delay.
I've wondered if they did figure out fully articulated light up figures what they would cost. If a CLU or Quorra got made I bet they would cost past the $200 mark.

I suppose its all speculation at this point. I would have thought if what you are saying is true. We would have had a halfbaked product released six months ago. I'm thinking of the rotting rubber suit on the Watchmen Comedian figure that HT refused to fix. I would think if the property was an albatross around their neck they would have dumped it on people and moved on.

I guess the only way we will have any idea is when we get it in hand and its buggy and disappointing or high quality and perfection.
