well the good news is you were wrong about the bio not fitting correctly.

it fits pretty much the same as the prop did. it's not supposed to cover the entire back ridge.
I saw that photo too but for the figures I like and think Hot Toys meant for the bio to fit perfectly. Whether or not thats true is up to you I guess, I kind of like that. After filming the video I saw that photo and was like wow I guess its supposed to be like that.
so elder_pred2 was right that bio was orginally for jungle hunter...

Yeap, did my research. It looks cool on him.

I hated those AVP figures when they came out. The dreads where a big part of why I didn't pick them up. It wasn't until Elder Pred 2 where I felt I could live with the look of an HT Pred. To this day I have no idea why HT hasn't used the same style of dreads on any other figure.

Yup, those first Preds to me are some of the ugliest (and not in a good way) figures that have come out of HT. I know they were made early on and folks were way stoked about Predators being made in 1/6, but I wasn't going to spend $70-$80 on those figures. I'm not a fan of AVP in general, so the appeal wasn't their to begin with. Add to that my hate for those dreads.

yeah the AVP preds are pretty terrible compared to what's out now. they look like Hasbro toys by comparison to the newer ones. especially with the bendy dreads gimmick. but they were the ONLY 1:6 preds ever made at the time. so i got most of them.

As much critique as the newer (not movie Predators new) Predators get for how they look I can live with them.

I disagree, those AVP preds were worth the pricing back then and they have a unique look to them. Nothing like a Hasbro figure. They were very true to their movie counterparts.

watch the movie they were thick in the movie also. also he obviously didn't take his time futzing the dreads to look natural

I've only seen the movie once and everything was so dark I couldn't make much out. Are there any pics of these figures where people actually fixed the dreads? Every pic I've seen they look exactly like that.

I think I got mine to look rather nice, but that is my opinion. :monkey1

This has probably already been talked about but i am appalled at the dreads on my guardian! Whats the best method to do the dread mod do you guys recommend?

i just used the hairdryer method, which worked pretty well,,another good method is where to dunk it in boiling water for approx 50 seconds and keep the dreds tightly wrapped.

It doesn't have to be 50 secs. Ten seconds for me and about a minute in the freezer.
