Who ever is crying because its over 400 can kiss it. I have a sideshow account and so does my old man and wife to be. I was in front of the computer at 9:30 also with 2 laptops open. I was put on the waitlist at 10:40 and 13:43 and I scored on both of them. I gave up on the third computer because everything was so slow. My friend who isnt even a collector landed one.
Cry babies had plenty of advanced notice of when it was going up.

About a month ago I missed out on the Guardian Predator Presale but thought I was lucky enough to score one for $350 on ebay from ebay seller tonycheung1965. Anyways, he recently refunded my money saying he couldn't get the Predators which is bull crap. He sold a few after his initial sales of $300-$350 for $550-$600. I see feedback from those buyers who seemed to have received their item. So long story short, this seller is a liar and just out for more money which is no surprise.
Luckily, I still got my wait list Guardian in the end, but still, it sucks that he did this, especially if I wasn't lucky enough to score my wait list GORT.

Ain't that the truth. I haven't been their in some time. There were dealers I frequented who were flexible and knew if they dealt with me would get me to come back and spend more. Those that said that's the price and that's it never saw my money. And it appears they didn't see other's money 'cause the pieces just sat there month after month.

And if you would have gotten it for that price and still had your waitlist conversion would you not look to flip one to pay for both. = free Pred.

Well, I'm still worried about leaving proper feedback and having him neg me back somehow. Anyways, if I did get both Preds, I definitely would have sold the other for whatever it was going for and honor my sale. The point being that I would honor it even it I probably could've sold it for more to someone else.

I'll go ahead and leave proper negative feedback then. As for buying from him again, I highly doubt it. More than anything I wanted to see how buying from this overseas seller was going to turn out. I thought maybe I might not get the figure because the seller couldn't get it, but to see that he did in fact get them in but only shipped to the later bidders who bought it for more took me a bit by surprise. I think I bought and paid for mine a day or two before the other buyers who got their items.
Anyhow, I'm just glad to have my Guardian from the wait list in the end. Crazy stuff...

I remember that day... we were all like "Hold on, guys! We may still have hope!". Then the listing sold out and a couple days later the WL's converted. Life's funny.

Why do you say that person was taken advantage of? Was he a 5 year old?
I can't understand the nagging I read about F&S over the years. If you guys are so bothered by that show, then why even go? I go there and try to enjoy the show every time. This December, they will have the first big L.A. 1/6 Expo on the 3rd and 4th with many out of town dealers who specialize in 1/6 and companies like Hot Toys who will have their own booth. They will have custom contests, raffles and Sideshow artists who will demo how they paint a statue/figure.
Scalpers and all, I bet you guys will still be there.

nothing wrong with complaining. It doesn't mean one can't go and look. I haven't been to Frank & Sons in eons because I don't like what it's become. This doesn't mean I shouldn't go and see if I can find some deals. I don't know how long you've attended Frank & Sons, but I was going there when they only had the front little parking lot. It's changed and not for the better; just my opinion.

I have small hope that my waitlist may still be converted but to be honest that hope is fading fast.
My waitlist went in at 5.25pm GMT which would be 9.25am PST on the day of the order (i think, different time zones are confusing).
Im not willing to pay ebay prices so ill have to live without a Guardian Pred...its not the end of the world but it would have been nice to have, i only have the P1 Pred, just got a Lost Pred so ill play with that one instead.
