Yeah, I dont know what you just said lol. I just kept selecting different sections until I had all the gold and changed it from there using some monochrome thing and minor adjustments. Then selected the outside and rendered some clouds since I came across that option and deleted the stand. Normally I use multiple layers but since I wanted all the silver to have the same effect I left it on one...

Here's what my layers looked like:

This is what the layers looked like for that Evangelion composite. That of course doesn't include all the objects from the Illustrator file.

Look up some tutorials on layer masks and adjustment layers. Non-destructive changes ftw. I never actually change the original image. All the changes I make are in the layers above it.

Well I always duplicate the background first but I think that is still technically changing the original image...I'll do what you said though and look that stuff up. I wish I could take a class or two on this sort of thing so I could actually have someone tell/show me how and what do to

That's what I'm saying. :lol

If dedguy taught a class on this, I'll be the first to sign up.

Nick, you did a great job afterall. The Silver Centurion is badass!

Thanks man, and I'd be right there with you! And SC is badass. It would be awesome to see in the movies, even if it is just in the Hall of Armors in the background of a scene or two.

Congrats!
Let us know how they turn out.
I'd especially like to hear about the Mk.IV. Much luck with that one.

Wow vodoun! :horror That is an awesome image! I always love your photos. That's one of the best poses using the base too. I might do that pose when I get mine.

vodoun: I see you tried the Sideshow Maquette pose as well. I had a hell of a time getting mine to stay upright in that pose.

The torso has a lot of range of motion for rotation. I wish the neck did though without cocking the head at a funny angle.
