Lol, I couldn't imagine that elf workshop idea would being cost or time effective.

I was just saying a machine cannot independently paint these headsculpts.

Even futher thinking that all these sweat shop elves can paint that well would be impossible to get that talent together to do thousands of heads, it would be silly.I still was wondering what the final count that is pumped out per figure?

I honestly think that HT makes about 3K-5K per run considering that many online stored run low or even out of stock weeks after their release...besides aren't their limited edition runs about 2.5K? maybe someone can clear that up?
I'm with you on that. There's not that many people in the world who are interested in paying $200 a piece for 12" man dolls; 3-5k seems like a sufficient number.

The figures are not hand-painted, hence why everyone is so amazed at how awesome they are.

Again, no one outside of Hot Toys and their production facilities, and perhaps SSC, really knows what each run is (with the exception of certain lines that are specifically advertised as limited).

are u sure about this? Because I compared my hot toys Berserker to others and I can tell the diff. in paint apps. I'm pretty sure all the Predators are hand painted.

^^^I think they only hand paint certain parts on the figures. Because I bought another Berserker head and the red on the outside slits of his mouth were darker than my first berserker head. I dont see them hand painting human figure heads tho. There is no way a human could paint those eyes that well.

Again, they're not "hand painted" in the sense that someone is painting these with a brush.

These are all done with airbrushes and cut outs for whatever particular part needs painting.

im surprised tracker has not sold out yet ,everyone said he was the most wanted predator out of the three im glad i got my pre order in just in case ,also get my falconer on Wednesday:yess::yess:

To my knowledge they are all hand painted in stages using various techniques including fine dry brushing to airbrushing etc. You don't get the amazing detail Hot Toys is world famous for by using stencils and airbrushing alone. Artists make these, not sweatshop workers.

Doubt it. :)

Anyone got any info or videos on factory production. I tried google but couldn't find anything interesting to read or watch on the making of action figures.

Just the making of the Trackers Predator Skull

and Berserker

I was wondering why the Super Predators have so little accessories?

Is it because they are on their planet in the movie and did'nt need extra stuff to survive?

I wonder what the Super Preds would look like if they came to Earth to hunt ? would they have had a Med Kit , other weapons

decorations , trophys , etc

I think the whole look of them would be drastically different

I just thought of this while looking at my Cleaner Wolf Pred and all the sheeet he has on him , its ridiculous . The super preds have sheeet on them :dunno

I just thought i would throw this out there to see if anyone thought the same :wave
