Indeed. That's ebay for you.
What about something similar to those new recharging mats for cell phones and similar items? No more need for batteries on the figures themselves but have them get their juice from the mats, which could be part of the figure bases.

That's a good idea. On the base issue; for the size of the three new Preds, HT should have given us some newer and bigger bases.
You still have to have a battery to charge.

But the battery is rechargeable so it's a much longer time between replacements.

I've been beeeetchin about that since i 1st saw a HT Pred . why didn't they make bigger bases for them?
Its pretty sad how the Berserker and Falconer barely fits on the standard HT base , i hate it

They really need to improve on future bases. They improve and evolve their figures yet still keep the same crappy bases.

For the Predators line it would have been nice to have a diorama base for each Predator (If they make Classic, 4 bases) that could inter-connect with each other and make a scene from the hunting camp. There's many things I want in life though

I switch my wire retention to the waist holder rather then the one that goes under the thighs. Keeps the top heavy Preds from falling over.

I think the Berserker Predator is very sturdy and stands fine on its own.
But I agree, Im not a fan of the black bases. I feel for the price we are paying for these things they should all come with some sort of display movie specific diorama base.
Good examples are the Iron Man Mark III, Mark IV, Mark VI, Mech Test Tony, Alien Kane and Dallas, Predator 1, Big Chap, Godfather....
I also like the DX bases.
