I'm gonna love this figure.

Accurate or not, this is till a bad azz figure. Going to look awesome with the rest of the villains.

Maglor, you gonna do any mods?

Also, I really want to see a review of this guy!

Even though I knew what that video was, and have seen it a hundred times, I still had to watch it. Never gets old. :rock

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

Agreed. Second best scene in the trilogy. IMO.

1. TDK Interrogation
2. Sewer brawl
3. TDK prologue

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

Pre-order order doesn't always turn out as production order. We ordered Joker before DX 12 Batman even, but we got Bats first. We pre-ordered Avengers Thor first, but got Bats first. There is nothing logical to HT. They're basically the Joker when it comes to logical predictions with them - everything is out the window :lol

better not show this figure to ski......:rotfl

I'm going with....

1. Sewer Brawl and back breaking.
2. Batman Begins fight in the shipyard when Batman is revealed. Love that.
3. Joker's tape with Brian Douglas on GCN.

Sewer brawl was good but not my top 2....I can think of a couple from TDK that are better imo. I just thought the whole scene was setup for Batman to completely fail. I didn't like that. I understand you want Batman to lose to Bane the first time they meet but Batman doesn't hurt Bane at all? Come on. Then the next time they meet he completely whoops Bane? Hollywood.

:exactly: That said, I love the second brawl when Bane punches the columns missing Batman. It demonstrates the raw power of Bane then 5 minutes later Bane's crying....

It's not that Batman doesn't hurt Bane in the brawl it's just that Bane is taking it and not crying out/yelling like Bale is. Look at the faces on Bane's men when batman is hitting him. They have this look on their face like they're unsure.

And at the end, Batman's not completely beating Bane, he's taking the hits just like Bane did in the sewer brawl. Sucking up the pain just like Bane did

:goodpost: plus by the end, Batman had something to fight for. He wanted to save his city so that "fear" found him again, making him more desperate. Bane had thought he had already won.

Was about to write basically the same thing. The first fight he's just going all out without really trying, he's just laying into bane with no real strategy, almost wanting to just fight until he drops down and dies. The second time he's found hope again, he's got a reason to keep fighting and is determined to win. If any of that makes sense. Also, think rocky 3. Haha.
I agree my favourite part of the second fight is where bane has batman up against the pillar and is just pummelling into him, and batman just has his hands up covering, looking quite panicked, then moves and bane just smashes the pillar. Only a few seconds worth but looks incredible.

As for top scenes, I'd put the sewer fight up there. But one of my favourite scenes in the trilogy is the Pruitt building scene at the end of th dark knight. I love everything about that scene. The music, the fighting, the sonar vision, the way batman methodically takes everyone out, I watched it today funnily enough and still noticed new stuff, the way he's taking people down while simultaneously moving a hostage. The set up of the bombs from the sticky bomb gun timed and positioned (and fired in the middle of the fight) to rescue the swat team above him just before they're ambushed. Easily one of my favourite scenes.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

TDK has all the best moments IMO

1. Joker meets with the mob guys
2. Tumbler/Semi Chase
3. Interrogation scene

Bane was too generic for me and his death had him go out like a sucka!

Peace has cost you your strength, victory has defeated you. Bane knows in the first few punches Batman is weak from all the criminals being put away cause of the Dent act. Bane knows the fight is over.

TDK does have some great scenes. I also love batmans first appearance in TDK. Those first few seconds where he takes everyone out with elbows and back fists, the grapple gun to rescue the guy from the dog, hanging onto the van. And I think the begins suit looks great there too.

But begins has some great images, like batman hanging off the side of the building in the narrows with the pouring rain, climbing up the side of the building when he's looking for scarecrows stash of stuffed toys, the Batmobile chase. And every scene with Ra's Al Ghul is great.

TDKR, amongst the ones already mentioned, batmans first appearance, when he makes his return I had a huge smile on my face in the cinema. I think it had added effect because it had been built up and we'd been waiting for it but that whole chase scene on the batpod is awesome. The EMP gun shutting down the lights and the cop cars and him zooming past, taking everyone out, then escaping the cops. And the scenes with Bruce in the pit are all great as well. Him healing, learning how to escape, the failed attempts (which immediately reminded me of a specific element from the knightfall saga if anyone's read it) and hearing the story of the child born in the prison.

He cried due to the pain he had to endure from breaking said column, no doubt.

:exactly: he can tell right away he's become sloppy and weak, he knows batman doesn't have what it takes to win anymore. That's why bane is taunting him during the fight. And why he taunts him when he returns at the end. "So you came back to die with your city"

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

Well adding onto the discussion, personally my favorite scenes in the trilogy are probably:

1) Joker interrogation scene
2) Bane vs Batman (Sewer Fight)
3) Two-Face confrontation/finale
4) Ra's Al Ghul and Bruce training sequence
5) Alfred rescuing Bruce from the burning mansion

But yeah, definitely excited for to see some reviews of the figure. :D
