Bane vs Batman during the sewer fight.

Besides the fact Batman wasen't in tip top shape, and didn't have the mentality to win; i also thought it was possible that Bane didn't feel much pain at all.

Although its never explained what Bane's mask does, i interperted as a long term pain killer apparatus. Like, his body is so damaged, that long term he needs some analgesic gas pumped into him to function normally.

So Batman going all out, wailing on him only made him more tierd. Bane was just waiting to wear him out and finish him off.

It's just crazy and amazing to me that a lot if these scenes from all 3 movies are up there personally for me with some of the best scenes in movies in general.

It's awesome that batman can have stuff on par with Pacino and deniro in the diner in heat etc.

I'm surprised that some of you missed or havent mentioned one very important element that was the main cause of Bruce's loss in the sewer fight.

Arrogance. Leading up to the fight, Bruce wasn't even fazed by Alfred's constant warnings of bane. He really took him for a henchman, a two bit crook he thought can be taken down with a punch or two.

I don't remember the exact dialogue, but things Bruce said to further his arrogance and underestimation of bane : the scene when Alfred said bane isn't one to be trifled with, listen to Bruce's reply.

Later, saying ill fight harder, I always have.

Lastly, his remark to Alfred's concerns "you're afraid that ill fail"...

In Bruce's mind, failing wasn't even considered, despite the information about bane, AND the fact that he didnt bother to cure himself of his injuries and he hadn't been batman for 8years. I know he's batman, but come on, not being in action will make you slower, weaker, which he was reminded of during his first faceoff with bane.

Sadly, timcent has sold out of these for the moment. He finally got back to me last night. He has ordered quite a few but HT only delivered his first day pre-order batch, hes still to recieve his 2nd batch so just got to wait. He said this piece is crazy in HK at the mo the prices have shot way up.

my local dealer sais that now, on HK, this is selling in $300!!!
I preorder mine on sunday... it was on the last 10 preorders, and now is sold out. It looks like a lot of people was waiting the in hand pics

Has anybody found something better than this for Bane to hold?

It could work, cause it is bigger than the 1/6 scale, so no need of hi-re, but maybe you've seen more screen accurate picture?

Looking at the way Bane is selling in HK I truly do hope Bane will get more attention and we may even get a re-release or even a DX in the future.

He will get a DX, it's the ONLY reason I didnt order this. Bane is my favorite villain. And he will be the first figure to actually be tailor made for PERS.

Dont make the same mistake I made with Joker. Damn that horrible V1. Not that this is that bad, but they will obviously improve upon it with a shotgun, more cloths, broken mask, better articulation, maybe battle damage mask for bane's final fight. Maybe even a microphone.

And one crying sculpt for the heck of it.

I'm fairly new to this hobby, I only own 3 figs at the mo and my first Joker is hopefully not very far away!

I basically only have a few days maybe a week left to get this Bane at a decent price before the sellers sell off their batch right? and the crazy eBay prices kick in... wanted to recreate the banner poster of Batman and Bane standing off with their armies with my DX12 but the thought of a DX Bane with more stuff is on my mind...

I like Bane, but not my favorite, Joker is my favorite villain... and I'm ok with this figure, he looks great with his coat and that is the look i like the most... if a Dx comes out, it will have to be mind blower to get it, maybe with the 4 megatons bomb or a big diorama/stand... but maybe I'll pass it. and how much you will have to wait for it, 4 years?

Im not letting a DX bane bother me, at the end of the day how faraway could that be?. Im going to get this once timecent gets more so i have a Bane in my collection. IF the time comes HT announce a DX then i can just either sell this on or use this to make a prologue custom.

Unless we get a really drastically all-encompassing DX version of Bane, I gotta say I'm fairly content with the MMS figure. Since the announcement of a potential DX could happen much later, there's also the option of just keeping both or selling this one later. Considering how many outfits Bane wore throughout the film, you can just have them displayed differently as well (unless some people are the type to go for one "definitive" version which makes sense for the concern).
