Agreed. Looks good. Could be better. I'm more on board now that I've finally figured out that the wristguard is included, the ******* photographer just forgot to use it. Same with the longsleeved shirt ... which would've been nice to see used in the photos.

i would love to see how it fits with the longsleeved shirt, i hope its a bit loose too just like from the stills or trailers we saw, and seeing it without his wrist gauntlet feels like the fig is incomplete or something i do hope some new pics of this fig shows it

Is Hardy really as bulky as old man Stallone? Stallone is all jacked up on steroids (admittedly, I believe).

No he isn't. AT least not when you compare Hardy in TDKR to Stallone in anything recent.

Minor inaccuracies aside I think this looks great. The sculpt and mask especially. Not too skinny at all. A definite buy for me.

Was going to display him with coat on anyways. Looks great with it. His body size seems fine... and the coat would look ridiculous if his body was any bigger.

Those two additions -- wristguard and shirt -- actually make me feel a lot better about this.

Hopefully Plastic Enemies photographer will get to work and get some better pictures. It'd be good to see photos without the vest, with the shirt and vest, and/or from the back.

Correct......and I bet he was pissed when he found out he couldn't show off his traps because of his wardrobe. He probably had a vest-less scene worked into his contract.

I'm totally getting this, if you don't like it don't buy it but in all honesty I think the criticisms are unfair on this one, ok you wanted the joints hidden fair enough but it seems some people just want to pick away at stuff.

Hot Toys make something you all hate it then they release a better version which corrects the stuff i.e. a DX they correct the stuff on it that you hated in the first place and then you complain about that. Its never ending.

Buy the figure of don't its really that simple.

My thoughts on:

Visible joints:
It's an action figure.

Can't do "Like a Boss" pose:
Please don't be the same people complaining about visible joints, otherwise the contradiction is a danger to the stability of the universe.

Looks lackluster:
After seeing expensive DX Batman figures with incredible head sculpts, a MMS of a guy with a bald head and face mostly obscured by a mask is going to be underwhelming. (I feel it too)

It's not a DX:
Yes, we've known that since January. Bane is not an iconic character. He could be after everyone has seen the movie, but right now he isn't. We have two other Batman DX's right now that are pushing $250 each. A bare bones MMS is good enough for me. It will be my first HT purchase under $200. My wallet thanks you. If Tom Hardy/Bane's popularity grows to Arnold-like proportions, make a DX.

Doesn't look right/costume is off:
He's beefy enough and the head looks fine to me, but that vest does need to be reworked.

What are the problems that really rile you up about this one, void, since I figure you're more familiar than others about what he's supposed to be and come with?

MAJOR
1. The vest. The armour plates are wrongly positioned and totally the wrong colour (should be grey and then weathered). The straps on the vest are all wrong. too
2. The body is way off. The SINGLE biggest defining feature of Tom Hardy's body as Bane is the muscles around his neck, upper chest and upper back. That entire part of the HT body seems way too small.

3. Needs his other jacket.



Less significant.
1. Boots.

2. Pants.

Yeah, I'm not sure what people are expecting. This is not "jacked-up" Bane... he's a pretty big dude, but nothing like previous versions. The figure is a bit boring, but honestly the TDKR design is a boring one.

I'll be passing, but I'm passing on all Nolan stuff. '89 is all I need

I cannot believe people are still crying about exposed joints. So we want ripping, deteriorating, cannot pose for ____ rubber for you guys to complain about that too again?

They should have at least include the bodybuilder shirt that Bane is wearing during the last battle. It showcases his thug neck so well. Shouldn't be too hard to customise.

OMG what the hell??

It's too expensive
It doesn't come with anything
It does not look like Tom hardy
The jacket is the wrong color
The base is wrong
He is too small
He is too big
The mask sits 3 cm too low on his face
The pants pockets are stitched 1 cm too low
He doesn't light up
He is not DX
He does not have interchangeable eyebrows
He is too expensive
He is defective I want hot toys to send me a new one
Hot toys customer service won't answer me
They announced a 2.0 now I hv to sell this what the hell!
I want Kato to make new bane socks because these are just not accurate

Did I cover everything past present and future? Yup I think so!

It's just that they reused their ol' muscle body for him. I wish they gave him a custom body too.

They did kind of go cheap-o with certain things like sculpted boots too.

Definitely getting this.

I agree with what others have posted earlier. I seriously doubt they'll make a DX Bane. They haven't made an Iron Man DX yet and there has been plenty of source material and opportunity for that.

I agree with the vest issue, and the coat could use some weathering/texture, but everything else looks pretty good to me. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I doubt there are too many accessories for Bane that are a must-have.

After Joker 2.0, and TDKR Batman, I'm a little relieved that this may be a little cheaper (hopefully).

With the coat on... no onlookers is going to notice anything off about him. He looks like Bane.
