Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

It's a beautiful figure, I really didn't expect to like it as much.
Around $45. It's very nicely made actually, soft and actually feels like leather. Needs some modding. Elvis has done a wonderful job with his, this needs some work on the belt and colour.

$45 is doable. I think I like him more with this jacket rather than the HT jacket.

Sometime it's like that with figures.YOu can pick up a figure from one of your all time favorite franchises and while you really like it it doesn't fulfill the anticipation like you thought it would. While you can also buy a figure you think is cool but may just be a casual fan and end up loving it.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

I searched "1/6 Legend jacket" on Ebay and found it right away. :dunno

I didnt need a specific name to find it.

the dealers must read this thread; i'm surprised they haven't randomly thrown "bane" in the title. [only sorta kidding]

two weeks ago, you couldn't find this set unless you searched under its "official" name.

Nah man, I found it by typing searching "1/6th scale black jacket".
:dunno

Agreed.
For the past 6 months i have walked around my house, much to my girlfirends annoyance, saying things like 'perhapsch hesch wondering why you schoot a man.... before throwing him out of a plane?

Yeah, my wife has had enough :duff:

I have to be honest here Mags, I'm a little shocked and disappointed with your post.

What exactly are you *****ing about? That I didn't answer a question (precisely enough) which you never asked me?

Seriously?

P.M me perhaps?

The sense of self-entitlement on these boards gets me down sometimes.

I get constant PM's from people looking for advice on this and that, I ALWAYS answer every one of them, privately. I have even on occasion offered my modding services for free to a few of the decent people on here.

You need to understand two things Mags, the world is a big place, everyone is different and not everyone will communicate in a way that appeases your sensibilities. And it's pretty arrogant to expect people to keep in line with your seemingly meticulous mind. And regarding my time on the boards, which is none of your business by the way, I'm here in blocks of time, then not for longer periods. And for most of the year, I'm on a different time zone then most of the US freaks.
Am I supposed to apologise for posting something and not staying up all night answering questions? Again... Seriously??!

*** tape? yes, that's what I called it, i don't know it by any other name, no idea it's called "fashion tape" in US. So I somehow misled you by not providing the correctly filed name and bar code number?

How about you just say thanks for the tip and recommendation?

:slap

:exactly:
No, he didn't send me a PM to ask. If he did I would have gone back through my ebay account and given him a link.

The only PM I think I've ever received from Mags was asking about the eyelid mod on DX12, and here's the rub, I offered to do it for him for free!
I don't think he likes to be seen for asking advice, but thats just my own opinion.

Now Mags, help me here. Please take any other *****ing or snipping or for that matter genuine questions and inquiries to PM.
I don't think anyone else here is really interested in reading this drama queen dialogue?

:peace

I never said you should apologize. To be clear I haven't had this problem with anyone else here. It just seems common for you to give partial info and then disappear. Not to bring up a sore subject, but to this day I still don't understand what happened with the the whole leaky DX09 thing. A lot of us wanted more info and you just completely clammed up.

You think I dislike being seen as asking for advice and I think you like to be purposely enigmatic. The fact is, we are probably both wrong. We would most likely get along great in person, the internet just creates problems because it's not a natural form of communication.

I like it a lot more when we get along, so I hope this ends here. :peace

I feel sorry for Rory - he's not obligied to help every individual find something on ebay which he used initiative in the first place to find.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

Obligated? No. Nobody here is obligated to do anything.

This all started because I said "finally" when Elvis posted the name of the jacket. The question was asked repeatedly, and it was good that there was finally an answer.

I answered you in some detail in my previous post and asked that you PM me should you have any further issues.
And please don't speak for me mate, you were very wrong and your post was both arrogant and condescending.
If you wish to ignore my post and continue further on the same line of passive aggressive attack, then good luck to you mate.
"purposely enigmatic" ? Like the sound of that, but try, stressful all encompassing profession instead. I simply don't have time to be on here 24/7.

Not sure many would agree with you Mags. And I think you were completely out of line in your post and with attitude you displayed therein...

If you want to continue to make yourself look foolish, then do so on your own.

PM?

Awesome.

What are your thoughts on the pants. They look great in your pics.

They are still far too skinny around the knees however this can only be seen when in profle. With a bit of futzing and loosening here and there, (plus cutting the stitches at the bottoms), they can look good enough for me.

awesome pics! nice profile shot.

Seriously Snake Eater :clap Amazing pics. It is really tough waiting on this guy!

Thanks very much guys. :duff

He is even better in hand. :)

I accept that. :duff

Anything further wil be in PM.

I picked up a second pair of pants. One thing I noticed is there is quite a lot of padding behind the kneecaps, if you cut a small slit on the inside of the pants and pull it out, they hang a little better?
