I have to say, I've been comparing the detail on this to a similar past HT release, and it shows a pretty shocking drop in standards. This is very similar to the Terminator Salvation clothing, except they were aged and detailed amazingly IMO. The John Connor outfits were amazingly detailed and well aged and weathered. This looks cheap as chips.
No likey.

And that body is all kinds of bad.

Ra's Al Ghul has been confirmed that he will appear in TDKR, hopefully we'll get a dx or mms out of this character.

And if anybody else noticed...the Final Battle John Connor pants are almost the same thing, just a different color.

I dont think that sculpt could get any better.

It could easily be much better. There's a ton of reference out that shows how off the mask is.

The area between his eyes is too low making his upper mouth piece too squat which also makes it look like he has no nose. The part between his eyes should be sitting higher just a bit above the eyes and the upper mouth piece should be longer.

There are other, small details, but that's the major problem which throws off the likeness and needs to be fixed.

Oh well... maybe they'll correct it for the DX.

The more I look at the pics I have the feeling that I will likely be happy enough with the figure until/if they make a second release. I'm going to need Bane on my shelf and the Headsculpt is good enough. I'll probably leave the coat on as the size of the arms and neck is the biggest problem for me. Then when the DX comes out I'll have that one be the sleeveless intimidating beast that Bane is.
Still disappointing but not mad. As long as I can get this for under $200.

The headsculpt is amazing. Hot Toys did a great job, I suppose there will be a " 2.0 DX " Bane next year, but I am pretty sure this one will be sold out in pre order after the movie release, it's like a very emotional reaction that only fan can understand....And accomplish !

It's stupid yes, but we can't stop doing this because we are fan.

I think that's very possible. That's why I'll likely pick this one up. If a DX comes I'll be happier.
