wow ~ that is way worse than anything i ever saw on the dx12 (which had a whole slew of mangles).

Had a long discussion with my LCS owner about this very subject last month. UPS, FedEx, and the dreaded PO have been damaging even more product of late than usual. My LCS guy says, "they simply don't care anymore," which seems to be the case. This is particularly disturbing with FedEx and UPS, since they don't have the protection that the PO has.

In October, I saw a UPS driver toss four Mac Pros onto the ground (approx. $4K each,) as if they were bundles of newspapers. I made a comment about the way he was handling expensive computer equipment, and was told that it's up to the manufacturers to package stuff properly. I walked away in disgust.

If you have other spare hands from other figures, just use a gripping one to hold the mask.

Don't know why I didn't think of that! Got him posed holding the cowl looking triumphant. Love this figure! I do kind of wish I had a DX02 stand for Batman DX12. The stairs make him look much taller than Bane. And despite Hardy's height, I would like Bane to be at least as tall as Batman on the shelf.

Got lucky with my delivery of this figure today. No one else was home and the UPS guy had just got back in his truck as I pulled up coming home for my lunch break. I didn't get a chance to look at the figure much yet though. Will have to check it out when I get home tonight.

They haven't double boxed since figures came with their own SHIPPING boxes. They pack their figure boxes just fine with Styrofoam caps on the top and bottom most of the time. If you have a problem with this method, you need to complain to HT. They are the ones not packing their figures better.

Personally I've only had a handful of dings with the current method, so the problem is most like your local carriers

Yeah, definitely something to do with the local UPS. I've had so many boxes delivered from Korea and HK no problem with FedEx and other international carriers.

Sideshow double boxed a figure of mine years ago (without me having to ask for the pack out option). Other than that rare instance, they've always shipped them out in the Hot Toys/Sideshow mailer (unless you pay an additional $10, in which case the double box it).



I've really never agreed with that decision, especially when other companies like BBTS and Cornerstorecomics double box it for nothing. They don't charge an additional fee. I mean, that mailer box isn't really enough some times, especially if you're far away from California.


The thing that REALLY bugs me is that people can see what the item is. I mean, I keep thinking about this. Imagine it. When my '89 Batmobile ships from them, not only will it be huge, but it'll read,


"1989 BATMAN BATMOBILE COLLECTIBLE"



That just begs to be messed with.

i hope not. my friend got his tumbler in good condition. i'm hoping for the same with the 89
