Hot Toys. Diecast metal. 100% sculpted from scratch. Still $15 less than SSC Vader.

A sad point... He is a bit light on accessories though; but I honestly figured he'd be in the $300 ballpark.

We can't tell just yet, guys. Those are PO prices from HK. Toy Sapiens prices tend to be closer to SSC prices.

But yeah, since there are too much figures I want but I don't want to go all-out on the budget, Vader's gotta give. Even if Robo ends up having a higher pricetag IMO this is the figure that's worthy of a slot in my budget -- as far as accuracy and over-all quality regardless of accessories, this would surely be pure happiness out of the box and on to the shelf compared to SSC's Vader.

I normally hate sound chips, but as long as it's truly Weller's lines from the movie I'm looking forward to it.

Oh man, if it somehow turns out to be just some HT employee reading those lines... :lol :duh

The Hasbro AT-AT walker pissed me off on the sound front. For some reason they didn't use the actual movie recordings as they had done on the 1997 walker. Instead they used a bunch of crappy CloneWars-esque stuff.

I doubt HT will go wrong here though.

One of the Masterpiece Primes recorded new, pseudo-Peter Cullen versions of classic lines (that Hasbro had the sense to put into a base instead of the actual figure, by the way). There is a precedent.

Here it is in a more natural lighting. Love how shiny all the armor parts are..:drool

Soooo glad I can buy this w/o the chair. Great move!

Why does everyone ***** about a talking feature? If anything it adds to the enjoyment. :dunno

"Da talkings feature makes dis a kiddie babyz toy." :lol

These things are already 40 year old virgin material w/o all the bells and whistles. Anything that requires more effort than displaying them tastefully on a shelf just isn't getting utilized and is therefore a total waste. Yeah, that includes light up stuff but it would be cool if there was a way to interconnect all the light up functions in a display cabinet at once with one flip of the switch...

Not even a switch, I wish they would incorporate it so that we can turn on the light up features with a remote.

Hope the battle damaged parts look as good as this on the final product. This is how I'd display him.
