Now I'm starting to wonder if Loonten actually has them or not, man this type of thing makes you wonder what's true and isn't.

I shall keep you posted if not shipped (or indeed shipped) by the end of the week as expected. *shakes head*.

You would think this was made of pure gold or limited to x many, but it isn't.

Scored me a 1/6 scale Dale Earhnhardt r/c, Fans look away because I cut it up!!lol , LED siren kit, and a decal kit. Once I put the flat black and decals shouldnt be to noticeable, plus no one I know that comes over are hardcore movie buffs so they wont notice, lol. Im leaning towards the shot up version of the pic so I can use the battle damaged pieces, but the other clean version is so iconic. dont know, but by the looks of things I have time to figure it out.

Yup. Don't feel as guilty about owning ED now. And hell, if it rots (which it will) at leas I can now justify fixing the damn thing.

Congrats on the pickup, BTW. I'd take a Clarence over ED any day of the week, but it does look pretty sweet.

Agreed, maybe if it wasn't so riddled with problems, but I would still only pay 150.00 for ED, never bought the first version so I'm not missing out on much, and am glad they delayed Robo, cause I got a pre order for Dredd now, I may not be getting Robo this week or next but at least I know I'll be getting a cop soon and thats ok with me, since I got a feeling Dredd will be gone after this second batch is done.
Also if anyone wants that Heavily Armored Cop they still got some at Monkey Depot.

You'll get a lot of biased answers from action-figure collectors here. Generally I think we feel that figures justify their cost more than Sideshow statues and PFs do.

Thanks for this. Very thoughtful response, I appreciate it. I have been very conflicted about getting this or the enterbay robocop. After shipping and customs, this costs around $400. I can get the enterbay robocop shipped, no customs, for around $500. The $100 differential vs the detail on the smaller sideshow piece means advise from forums is practically the only sensible way for me to decide. I also really like the diecast on sideshow's take - transports me back to the fun days of chogokin (and will likely make it significantly more durable, in theory). I did order the SS piece and, on principle, may even considering both. But getting views on here is something that's always swayed my purchase decisions...

Don't trust what anyone says, especially on their respected threads everyone is going to like what they own, I will only own the HT's version, I don't collect 1/4 so I don't need or want the EB one, what it comes down to is if you will be happy with your purchase. And 99% of the the time the thing looks better in person, especially since this is your first HT you will see that videos and pics don't do these things justice, same prob. goes for the EB one, so just buy what makes you happy, since you will be stuck with it for the rest of yours or its lifespan.

try to email SS or live chat it might be too late, yeah man I bought Joe Colton and it gets a lot of negative talk but in person is amazing especially the eyes, I used to own HT's original pieces and they are leaps and bounds above what they used to do, as said the eyes now have a wet look to them like real eyes and the details are amazing and can't be captured on camera the naked eye and proper lighting can really show more than a camera, this goes for human figures, in the case of Robo I think the paint applications to his armor will be a sight to see, and look like a chameleon which will look amazing.

Cheap feel is just an opinion
Quality control issues like rotting rubber, scratches on the figures, broken shoulders, etc are not opinions, they are the current state of hot toys quality control

Fair enough. Thanks. I'm certainly getting the SS one. Whether to get the chair and figure is something I am considering. The enterbay robocop is something I am not sure about and its maybe a bit more than I'm willing to pay. For $500, I was expecting people to be extremely impressed with it. However there are so many negative views about the piece on the thread. I don't know if its because these people just want the HT piece and need to justify their choice or whether the enterbay piece really is so bad. I was considering getting both. Oh well...

It's a tricky one. That NRD is probably charged already, or not. Your best bet is to call them and ask, if it's your first time, they'll waive it. But they don't like doing that after that one. Unless there's delays, then you are guaranteed to get your NRD back no matter what.

EB, HT, it doesn't matter. Whichever you get, you win, as they are both incredible looking. If price and space are a factor, get the HT one. If it isn't, get the EB one. But if you are cool like me, get both .

Just kidding of course, but you'll enjoy whichever one you end up choosing, that's for sure.

It really depends on what you like, don't listen to others listen to......... uh your heart? both are good in their own respects just depends what you are into and what bugs you, if you care that the EB one is from Robocop 3 so be it, if the QC bugs you about the HT's one then decide on that? but SS will I think accept returns if its a QC issue EB only gives you 7 days from what I hear on the MJ thread, just make sure you watch videos on the cons on both items.
