Dunno, Nolan Bat-fans are a different breed. Nothing stock seems to be acceptable to a large number of them. Everything has to be custom and thus there's a truckload of customisers and fledgling companies trying to cater to them and them alone. Robocop and Terminator won't get a look in. Some of us are obsessive about stuff but not nearly as many of us to warrant pro-customisers looking at these threads and stroking their chins with dollar signs in their heads.

Good point sir, like that clean shirt someone should make for BD T1, what are the common flaws with Bats? I know the cape is a big issue.

Found a new review posted. The video for some reason is only 360p resolution (slightly better than VHS), he doesn't get some of the mouthplates in right and he doesn't open the holster entirely (slide the front panel forward), but thought you guys may want to see it. Too silver or not, I think the paint looks beautiful here; lots of nice purple accents and strong variations of grey make for a very convincing metallic appearance.

I'll take this over the one-shade-of-grey plastic-looking Enterbay Robocop any day:

Tell me about it. I took a look at some of the DX12 thread (2100 pages and counting) and I saw the squiggly lines, the diagrams, the walls of text. :lol

Capes are always crap, cowls are always wrong, eyes too wide and derpy, necks too long and thin, unnaturally flat shoulders, beer bellies, badly placed knee-pads, I've seen it all. In fairness, I've become the same pretty much. The only difference is I'm limited to doing what I can do by myself whereas the Nolan Batfans have a legion of pro customisers catering to their whims - sculpts for every character, sculpts for every facial expression, retailored outfits, full custom figures of characters Hot Toys haven't yet made, every notable prop or piece of set dressing etc etc etc I'm not bitter.

Thanks for the vid, man. RPA's cool.

Funny, the EB guys are convinced their guy's better. :lol

Lol, but seriously, if you want to see how the other version does with paint and proportions, go watch the video I posted in the thread
At about 12 minutes in, he plays part of the movie right next to the figure so you can good idea on what is accurate and what isn't
That same scene he plays is where I saw that the other versions proportions looked more accurate, especially from the back

That's Eivo, right? Yeah, I've seen just about all of the EB reviews over the past several months. What can I say, I was curious! :lol

There's just too much RC3 for my tastes, from the Burke head to the gun arm and jetpack, all the way to the logo on the box. Me no likey. Not one bit.

As a sort of regular on the DC boards the Nolan batman figures suffer from, but not limited to-

Cowl is yet to be accurate, its either to high or too wide.

Shoulder pieces are too large.

Gaps between abs are to large or small.

Utility belt is all kinds of wrong.

Bunching up of rubber when arms are raised, yet they raise very little.

Cape looks just crap.

Bales upper lip is either too long or too short.

Eyes are set too deep.

Gap between mouthplate and cowl is too large.

The bat symbol on the chest is also a touch out of place or something.

The list goes on, none of which I agree with I might add, you can't please some people.

To be fair, the cape isn't very good. The custom capes, heck, even the DIY rayon capes, look and drape much better. The thighs may be a bit on the pudgy side and the eye areas weren't painted completely black.

But I like the DX12 mouthplates. And I'm not sure one has to steam the figure to get plates fitting snugly, or if one has to buy a custom mouthplate, or if one has to cut the gloves. There's an entire THREAD dedicated to DX12 mods, for Pete's sake! :lol But to each his own, I guess.

It's a nice figure! I just strongly disagree that the paint on the Enterbay figure is superior. Sure, it's an every so slightly darker shade of grey, but is almost completely monotone and comes across very plastic by comparison. I would argue that the Enterbay figure is basically unpainted.

This screenshot is from the original blu-ray so it's way too green and dark, but the purple accents are unmistakable.

The Hot Toys figure nailed those, but the Enterbay figure appears to be one single shade of grey everywhere but the back of the helmet.

Thank YFB:hi5:

Well I decided to swap looks since I now know you can undo the chin strap to switch plates, here he is full BB mode

man that chin strap is a life saver!
Ridiculously hard to put the mouth pieces on without utilizing it. I thought I was doing it wrong and would reference the instructions time and time again(mine do not include the chin strap instructions)

So happy I found out, now I can swap faces as intended:)
