damnit i envy everybody who already got their robocops. my seller just doesn't answer me, i thought it was until feb 26, as usual in their country, but it's too long already.
I think the only mod I've seen was the repaint which has more blue-purple undertones.
As for the die-cast parts, check out OMG's diagram, die-cast in purple. Yup. All that die-cast for an extra $30 I think the full-BD version has no die-cast parts at all, which tells us that this could have been all-plastic and still look as awesome. (full-BD is only $5 cheaper though, so we can assume Weller's likeness cost a lot).
not bad, they could have done more pieces in diecast. Hope I dont see the difference between diecast and plastic by just watching it.
Hmm...less diecast again for me to find out. Thought it was at least all-round the upper arm and leg. Well everyone seems happy for this Robo and if you can`t tell between the plastic and diecast, i should still go for it. Just a little baffled over how little diecast it really ended up with.
Tight budget nowadays so would risk to hold for a while. Any knowledge of how many may be made? Are HT just producing their toys until they think it is enough or sales are declining?
Even though there is little die cast , this is a dam heavy figure !! recently got mine and I love it . I got the single version first then decided to get one with the chair instead. I personally think the regular version should come with the chair anyway !
Only gripes, the silver paint is nice and crisp , I just wish it was more of a darker tint and where is the missing blue/purple tints.
I had a few small and I mean small , QC paint issues . On his chest on the round bump between and just under the pecks there was a small silver paint lump . I sanded it off, but sanded it the paint underneath to black . I then masked it up , then resprayed it with Tamiya Metallic Silver and it looks just like the original paint . Did the panel lining and you cant tell the difference. The back of the head , I resprayed it light metallic blue then sprayed the silver over the top then sprayed clear coat. The transistion makes it go to that light sky blue metallic silver colour seen in the film .
So have it been added xtra weights inside Robos body? Or is the little seen diecast on it, enough to give it a fairly good weight?

As is, it's still a very awesome piece. If it would have had the proto paint job it would have been one of the best figures of all time.

I don't see any difference in the detail on those parts.
My monocle is in the shop for repair (because it keeps popping out while reading posts in the Star Wars section), maybe that's the problem.
