Thanks man, yeah nobody seems to know what's going on with them because they don't say anything. After tons of complaints on facebook, they put up a post saying they'd give an update with what's going on with various figures within 24 hours. That was nearly two months ago, and it's the last thing anyone's heard. My display is almost all Marvel, and Guardians is my favorite Marvel film to date. I will keep trying to find a way to get this guy, but I'm not kidding myself; it's unlikely. The good news is that I gave ordering from Sideshow a chance, and my Iron Man 43 shipped this week, one day after they received final payment. Good to know not everyone in this hobby has stopped trying.

Some people find it daunting ordering from SS but it's not too bad. Yeah you pay a bit more because of customs duty but the service is first class.
I'll keep an eye out for you though and let you know if I see a SL anywhere.

Yes, don't give up. Keep checking eBay. Even if you have to get it slightly used, it's worth it. He's an awesome figure. I've actually gotten some of my figures slightly used of eBay, and sometimes "used" simply means the seller opened the box to merely inspect the figure, then immediately put him back in.

Even if they displayed it and it still looks to be in favorable condition, I'd still pull the trigger if it means getting it cheaper. He's really too good to miss out on.

This figure, and my GA Captain America are the two I consider myself the most lucky to have in my collection. I luckily acquired SL right when he went on pre-order on SS before he subsequently sold out, and I acquired my GA Cap right when it hit the secondary market, so I didn't pay nearly the 500-600 bucks he's going for now.

^ Yeah, most people will mark it "used" even if it's just been taken out of the box and displayed in a cabinet. The best thing is to check the item description.

I got this figure about a month ago, from a local dealer, who sold out of them two weeks after I bought mine. I was fortunate in getting mine when I did. I love it. It's actually one of my favorite HT figures.

Definitely don't give up on finding one!

The biggest problem with the Starlord figure is what head sculpt to use.
So there isn't much problems really...put a few quid away and pick this up down the road.

I agree, but I've used the Pratt head since I got it and I'm still happy with how that looks

I've put the Pratt sculpt on a few times it is really good but the mask just looks great....As I said it not a bad problem to have with a figure.

I'm the same with my SL and Avengers Loki. Two very awesome figures. I never thought I'd get a Loki as I started this hobby only last year but relentless checking of EBay got me him BNMIB for a reasonable after market price. Never give up hope!

Diligence is your best friend here. I waited and waited for a DX joker and Loki for months and FINALLY got them shortly after one another for great prices. If you want it you'll find a way to get it.

This figure is disappearing quickly. I've noticed my local suppliers have sold out of him now and one even upped the price to $500. The Rocket and Groot 2 packs have also sold out as well.

I hope anyone still looking for him can pick him up quick because I see him being hard to find at a decent price like the Avengers Loki has come to be.

I've put the Pratt sculpt on a few times it is really good but the mask just looks great....As I said it not a bad problem to have with a figure.

I've vacillated between the headsculpt with the mask and the Pratt headsculpt. Both look equally great. I ultimately decided on the Pratt headsculpt though being that he's going to be grouped with the rest of his GotG cohorts and all of their faces are visible, so I figured I'd just keep it consistent.

Crazy prices!! I've noticed a lot of the UK retailers no longer have him in stock either and the eBay prices are creeping up. Thinking about how late I left my pre-order of him, it's amazing that I still managed to get one!

Just wanted to give an update that I was able to find him on ebay for an okay price. Still more than I wanted to spend on the figure, but with the announcement that Drax is still being made, I figured I'd better jump on this guy asap. The prices just seem to be going up and up. The one I managed to get is a new one too, still sealed in the shipper. Glad I could get him, I'm just crossing my fingers that nothing goes wrong and I don't end up disappointed again.

I searched on google and found it on RobotKingdom for $260 shipped so I ordered from there. With Drax out it does seem to be going up
