Right when I'm contemplating selling mine. I had to cancel the Delorean due to uncertain circumstances by the time it comes around plus....it'd cost me almost a grand. Even if I have that saved up I'm not sure I'd want to spend it - conceivably I would spend it on other toys that could come to light by then but not on one huge item from a license I like but never felt compelled to own toys from before. And when even figures are hard to sell on the aftermarket nowadays **** knows how I'd offload the Delorean if I bought it and then regretted it. So.
Same here. Now I have Marty but I haven't ordered the Delorean for exactly the same reasons. It sure would make a cool display though. Moreso than the 89 Batmobile IMO, with all the light up features of the time machine. It's also short enough for my shelf.

I'm actually holding out on the delorean also until I wait and see what they release at comic con. I love diecast and plastic vehicles so its a given that I'd pick up anything in 1/6th scale but im just thinking what if they got the ghostbusters licence or mad max licence and annonce new vehicles from those lines. Id rather an ecto 1 then a delorean to be honest even though I do love the delorean. I simply don't have enough money for both though.

I'm not even sure if I really want Marty or not, haven't been since the beginning. Love the film/films, ever since I was a kid, but a figure is just never something I really wanted.

We'll see though. If it's a quality figure (and based on the reviews and reactions, it is), then it's a quality figure. I'll most likely keep it because it's unique and nostalgic, I don't know yet.

Definitely not getting the Delorean though. It'd be cool, but way too frivolous for me. I don't have the space, $750+ is quite a lot of change, and I promised myself that after the '89 Batmobile, I wouldn't buy big, expensive toy items any more. The 1:18 Delorean is good enough for me.

One other impression I had about this figure that I neglected to post about is that his neck is a bit long, and can look strange if you don't futz him the right way. I suspect this was intentional, in order to make it look correct with all the layers of clothing he has going on (undershirt, button shirt, jean jacket, vest), but it did look a bit awkward out of the box. And as per usual for HT nowadays, the sculpt has a soft kind of quality to it, liking refinement in the details and paintwork. But still miles and miles ahead of SSC's typical work in this area.

If doc was a sure thing would it change your mind? I'm really hoping there is an announcement this summer, but still not holding my breath. Personally I couldn't be happier with the way Marty came out, but if you are only a casual fan of the movies the delorean is both pricey and a space hog.

Well, I think if I sell Marty it will go a huge way toward killing my interest in a Doc figure while having one or both of those guys would constantly draw my attention to the fact I don't have the Delorean. I don't think I can own those two and not buy the car. So that's why I'm leaning towards selling Marty and ending my brief daliance with this license altogether.

I could justify Doc without a Delorean.

Just have the two of them displayed in the moment that Doc sends Einstien and the Delorean a minute into the future. Marty with his video camera and Doc with the remote control. Don't need a Delorean or Einy because they're traveling in time.

Pretty damn sour with UPS right now. Paid $17 for shipping and the driver can't even be bothered to knock on the god **** door. I even signed the back of the slip saying it's okay to leave it at a neighbor or my front door.

Now I have to pick it up at a facility that's an hour away and only open mon-fri 2pm-6pm???? How are normal people like me that work from that time even supposed to get it?

What the ****ing hell?

Sorry to hear that, that happened to me a couple of weeks ago with USPS, its a pain in the butt and disappointing when your excited to get something you have been waiting for a long time only to have to wait longer:pfft:

I have My UPS now, so I knew I would likely miss the delivery today so I signed off on the signature required last night, thankfully I did that as it was left at my door an I would have missed it and had the same issue as your dealing with, I recommend signing up for it:lecture

You need to go to UPS.com and sign up for MyChoice. It's free. It allows you to presign for packages online so this won't happen. The last time it happened to me...was the last time it will happen to me. :wink1:

That sucks. I doubt I would ever drive an hour to pick up a figure. I would just let them send it back and re-order from someone who uses a different shipping company if UPS was being so ****ty about it.

In my case, USPS is very strict about not delivering items requiring a signature to my house when I'm not there to sign for it. But UPS couldn't care less! They drop off packages that are supposed to be signed for all the time. And so far, it's only worked to my advantage, though I do worry about them attempting delivery of something when I'm out of town. Marty was just sitting at home waiting for me when I got off of work a couple of days ago.

Thanks for the suggestions and condolences. Guess I know to sign up for that now, they should make it clear that it's free.

Unfortunately, I want this one since it's EX... ahgg. Trying to call the customer center and question how they expect people to even pick up their packages from there.

How a company like this can be so short sighted is beyond my temper.

They really need to throw in the word phrase, Sign Up IT'S FREE!

Because the title "UPS My Choice" makes it sound like some sort of premium service.
