Hah! I wondered why his figure didn't come with the standard stand. That is so funny that it was Michael J Fox that wanted it!

Maybe the reason Doc hasn't been made is because Christopher Lloyd wont give his approval.

Why would Christopher not approve this but basically do everything (and I mean everything) else that relates to Back To The Future? there's more in it than this I reckon.

Wish the Kimmel vid wouldn't have ended before the Huey Lewis song finished but otherwise that was cool.

I prefer the old "grab" stand over the new "crotch" stand anyway. Once it is adjusted right, you can usually hide almost the complete stand with clothes. Also it is alot easier to get good poses out of it. Marty on the skateboard would not be possible with a "crotch" stand.
In fact I plan on replacing all my stands with the old "grab" stand one day.

I have the exact opposite view. I presume the stands you're talking about are waist-grabbers? Hate them, and I actually find them more limiting on poses. Weird.

I bet lots of people that watched kimmel last night trying to find the hot toys marty are in for a shock. I don't think the public in general is very aware of this stuff and what it costs.

I hope they do find it and pay the prices because more people buying will probably mean more releases for the BTTF line

It really does suck. As for releasing Doc as a double set with the DeLorean, imagine if they do this and make Doc exclusive to that highly expensive set. Fan or not, my reaction will be nope.

I really cannot fathom the business logic in releasing TWO DeLorean's and Marty McFly variants before the man who made the entire damn thing possible, and I very much doubt Christopher is holding things up.

That would be awful! Really hope it doesn't come to that.

Very nice video clip with Michael J. Fox himself giving his own small review on the Marty McFly figure! I always thought it was HT that opted to use the waist grabber stand, so that way it enables the figure to be posed riding the skateboard. Never knew it was Fox himself that didn't want the crotch grabber, u-cradle stand.

By the way, did you guys hear what happened yesterday in today's newspaper?

Yeah the Kimmel stuff was awesome and funny! I was pretty bummed that it wasn't Doc that was announced instead of Future Marty. But seeing this WIP of the sculpt is erasing some of that disappointment. Anybody saw this post from JC Hong on Facebook? Shaping up to be amazing

I also highly doubt that any delay with Doc is the fault of Christopher Lloyd. He does anything Back to the Future.

Oh nice find! Not thrilled about it not being doc but happy it's a nee HS. Still not showing the forehead/hair... Does this mean the sculpt will allow for the cap?! Fingers crossed

I think it will be able to fit the hat. I saw on a recent OSR post from one of the comic cons. Hot Toys added the hat to the Future Marty display. So I'm thinking it will

Yeah I wonder which it will be. I'm thinking it will probably be changeable hair pieces like they did with the Han Solo headset piece. Did you guys see the other teaser? looks like they lost the Nike license. In the comic con reveal the shoes had the check now it's gone:/ it's an easy fix but I wonder what happened

The alternate head sculpt has sure increased my interest in seeing the full figure.
