I believe it. Ten months ago it was selling for $400-500. It was until recently it sky rocketed in value.

Possible I guess, I haven't been tracking it for years now. BUT IT NOW prices and actually sold listings on eBay are light years apart, last i checked it was $1000+. I'd pay $400-$500 for that. Even after getting Secret Project, which is so much cooler it seems senseless not to have Gun Metal too.

I didnt buy it on eBay, back then they were pretty high too, I was lucky to find a buyer locally looking to part with his collection for low prices.

Yea it seems like almost all the figures are close to $20 now, (I'm in Boston). I know the rates went up this year but to double shipping is kinda crazy.

Yes, agree but I know the IP, WM 2.0 and Mark XLII were not that much.

Agree with the diecast theory, but even SSC's simple SW Deluxe Clone trooper was shipping for around $17.00 several months back. Shipping prices have really been climbing over the past year for these, with the few rare exceptions where they offer $10 shipping.

The Superman figure was just shipped to me at $18.63 too so it doesn't seem like the diecast is to blame. I long for the $10 flat shipping rate!

and the beauty of it was they blamed high gas prices for the shipping costs....
