Except people have ordered the first version. And I, for one, would be unhappy as I want the GOTG1 version to go with the figures from that film.

Well looking at the new team picture from HT, hopefully we can just buy a 3rd set of pants for GotG2.

The thing I find funny about that picture is that they have Baby Groot listed as if he is a separate figure. I can just see them releasing an inch tall Groot as a stand alone release for $150.

C'Mon. Baby groom will probably be packed in with each figure. They are going to merchandise the **** outta him in the movie that there will be too many outfits, expressions and who knows what else but there's not going to be just one. He'll be a bit bigger than the mini Ant-Man figs but maybe only 2 times the size.

Don't be so sure. There's probably 1 year to release at least. They will probably change it. These are just new costumes on old bodies.

Cool and agreed! I never had issues with Gamora elbows and Star-Lord (WHO) is a good body for kitbashes.

Just ordered Drax. I don't think I'll have a problem finding blue pants if that's the only change. I also ordered the rocket groot 2 pack. I figure someone will sell a blue outfit.

I ordered Drax cause I LOVE the olive green/grey pants on him and since I don't care for a shared team looks. I might even get the first Rocket's clothing and swap him with the new Rocket assuming they update his head sculpt or give him a screaming sculpt.

Looking at my original Rocket figure, you'd really have to do a head swap if you want the old outfit and new head. It really looks like you'd have to destroy Rocket in order to get his outfit off unless you plan to cut and sew.

I've done minor modifications and plenty of kitbashes, still I could be missing a trick, but the outfit really doesn't look like it comes off without major work.

Just an FYI.

Threezero made a convincing likeness of Rooker with the Merle figure. It's a good start for a custom.

I wouldn't say no to baby groot, or an improved Rocket (he finally has his jet pack!!). That being said I'm very happy with my original Star Lord. The weathered jacket is one of my favorite detailed items in my entire collection! I will for sure pick up Yondu and Nebula if they end up making them.

While I do not have the figure, based on the pictures, I like the first Star Lord over the second simply for that awful grey t-shirt he has in GOTG2.
