Yeah at the end of the day look at the last few pics people posted let out a deep sigh of relief and put that negative energy somewhere else more deserving and just enjoy the figure for what it is instead of hating it for what it should have been that boat has sailed

I'm not hating...I'm legitimately asking a serious question. Why has this concern, which has prevailed up until release, all of a sudden vanished??? It seems so bizarre to me!

Here's why no one is complaining:

Right...and the chest piece still looks like it's been slapped on (two separate pieces). Not much difference really, in my opinion at least...

I guess I'm not understanding you. What is it exactly that you think should have been done differently?

The scales themselves are inaccurate I think but other than that it looks pretty damn good to me *♂️.

It's surprisingly hard to find a decent picture of this suit. Anyways, looking at this I'm guess that Gmoney is talking about the fact that the rim of the chest plate is fabric that's integrated into the suit. I also see that the star is set in fabric, which is a really cool detail and it's a shame that HT didn't do that.

At the end of the day they fixed 90% of my issues with this figure so it's hard to get too mad about that last ten percent. My biggest pet peeve is still the arms, but it is what it is.

The chest part shouldn't look like a separate piece. It should be similar to how the concept version looks where the chest and torso are actually connected much like the actual costume.

I do agree that it still looks like it's slapped on but overall, it's better than the Mk85 product as a whole.

I agree with both. Overall, it looks a lot better and like you said, hard to get too mad at the last 10 percent. But the figure's chest and shoulder pieces should be part of the suit (integrated) instead of the separate armor pieces being attached to the suit like what the figure currently looks like. That's a great reference photo btw

I'm guessing the reason the shoulders aren't built in is for articulation purposes. The chest I would expect to be equally restrictive regardless, so who can say.

Yep, that's it. Also good find on this photo. I, too, had a really difficult time trying to find a clean image of EG Cap. But, yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. The suit doesn't seem like it's one seamless piece on the figure (because it's not), whereas on the movie suit it's one piece essentially.

And I recall there was a lot complaining going on BEFORE this figure was released about how the chest looked cheap with the slap-on two piece, but now I'm not seeing anyone mention that particular niggle anymore. I truly expected to see that criticism brought up again seeing as how the chest piece is pretty much the same as the prototype, so I'm just really surprised is all.

Correct. That's the gripe I saw mentioned time and time again before release, but now no more...so I just find it odd that it's crickets now.

Personally I’m not complaining about the cheat piece bk I never had a problem with the chest piece. But I have always wanted a version on Cap with the scales so I guess I just overlooked it’s lack of integration into the suit which I admit is a better/cleaner look. Thanks for that picture Saintv1, it is a great shot and does highlight how amazing the outfit in that movie was. Also it shows that this figure could have been even better looking if they had done the chest piece differently and done something different with the upper arm area. That said I still like the way this Endgame version came out overall and think it is an upgrade over my CW Cap.

You're probably right. Though, the scales, I think, could've been screen-printed (or whatever tech they use for patterns) onto the fabric elements instead of going sculpted. However, my only real gripe, especially now with the pic you provided, is they should've used the larger biceps from the Superman figures and the Concept Cap instead of smaller ones they used for Infinity War and CW Cap.

So just watching a review/comparison video and just noticed that while the new Evans headsculpt is pretty awesome, what's up with the visible seam? For those that own it, is it that noticeable in person?

I was contemplating picking the headsculpt up separately, however seeing that blatant seam is giving me second thoughts...

Yeah that comparison video is nice.

But wow I didn’t notice that seam at all while watching that video or any others, it’s pretty nasty. I guess I have been noticing how well the face came out and overall shape of the head that didn’t even notice that seam issue. It’s not an issue for me bk I always display the figures with their helmets, masks etc. but I can see why it may give some people reservations.

All the heads have a seam like that if you go looking for it.
You'll never see it from the front or even close to sideways. They are moulded in a two piece copper mould.
There's a reason it's not been an issue till now. You can hardly see it unless a 1 inch head is blown up to 6 inches on your screen and you go looking for flaws.

:exactly: I have noticed seams (and other imperfections) on my figures if i look really close but i can't see it at all on the shelf.

Here?s one I have sitting on my bench. It?s the Endgame Hawkeye.

Can you see the seam?

How about now, maybe 10 degrees further around?

You can see it now.

And about 10 degrees behind that, if you know what you are looking for.

But 10 degrees further round and it is almost invisible again.

You would have to be really closeup to see it from this angle.

So, I do not believe it is going to cause much of a furore, as this has always been a thing.
