Sideshow posted a video last week with a prototype of this figure. There were no visible changes from the pre order photos.

I personally wouldn’t have expected there to be. Sure final products have some slight alterations from prototypes, sometimes for the best or for the worst, but the scaled chest plate on this seemed like something that wouldn’t be changed if that’s what they showed. I would think they’d have to go back and redesign the suit at that point. Plus they released that early limited D23 version, so I imagine that figure was likely an early preview of what to expect this figure to more or less look like.

As I’ve said, it seems the best way to get a good EG Cap is to mod the IW Cap. Literally every modded one of those I’ve seen is better than the actual EG figure imo.

After modding mines with a couple of paint jobs after exposing the scales, painting a little ?dirt? on the chest goes a long way.
I just don?t know how to add the avengers patch to the shoulders.

dont know how to apply the avengers emblem or dont know where to get one?

if you need one you can try parchesofpride.com and see if they can do it. May be custom work or not. May have to write them and ask.
I used them years ago and it was fine
worth a retry....

Yeah I just cut some of the pants. About 3cm.

Unfortunately I used the star from my CW Cap.
It?d be a great idea if someone had a 3D printer to make the stars.

i plan on doing this custom as well and the only thing i have so far is the star lol. Its technically not the right one. My first captain america from the original movie had faded clothing bad, so i bought newer ones and harvested the star from that. I really wanna do this custom, but the things holding me back is wanting to wait for the finished product to see if hot toys would actually correct their dreadful prototype.

Originally, I was just gonna use an unbroken shield cause I wanted this Cap's shield to be intact in all its glory.
But I admit, it did seem like it was missing from its iconic look. And since this is supposed to represent Endgame and that
Iconic scene with Cap wielding Mjolnir with his broken shield, I caved in and decided to get the Art by Art Diecast Broken shield.

I am so impressed with this shield. It really is high quality. Very heavy and thick. The colors look great.
If I have to guess, the paint looks like its powdercoated.
What's cool is that the way the light bounces off the shield, it definitely highlights its metallic sheen.
I was actually worried at first if there might be an issue with the figure holding the shield, cause like I said, its very very heavy.
But duh...If Cap can wield the Mjolnir, he can carry a heavy diecast shield.

Those Art by Art die cast shields are nice. I picked up a broken one too. Just in case Hot toys doesn't fix the one that comes with EG Cap.

Yes. You want the one that is S2. The S1 is only partially broken.
Not as badly broken as the S2 which is more movie accurate.

This guy literally made a one off customized suit and it's not as good as what you think it is imo.

What game does Hot Toys need to step up, their version is way better than what you have posted.
