1/6 Hot Toys 1/6 Boba Fett ESB Version

I held off on the ROTJ version because I prefer his ESB look, so I'm excited for this. I got more excited at seeing a Deluxe version but it's basically a bunch of parts I'm not going to use. Would've preferred some backdrop or deluxe stand. I'll still probably get it anyway though.

I'm no Fett expert, but I have to agree about the helmet looking a bit weird and off. Although it does seem to be growing on me the more I look at it.

Think I'd probably stick with the standard version though, as the more colorful jetpack and armor have never really done much for me.

The Hot Toys Jedi Fett (if anything) has too long of a neck.

I've always thought of Fett as having a longish neck, part of the thing I like. Never noticed it was too long on HT but I did notice it was too short for my liking on the SS.

Now the HT one's helmet doesn't flare enough for me, that's for sure. Doesn't look like they addressed that on this proto. I hope they fix it by the time the production piece is finished.

Wonder how expensive and easy to get the pieces from this to make my ROTJ into an ESB will be? Probably cheaper just to buy the whole thing.

Yeah but cost effective shouldn't even come into it when they will probably be trying to charge close to $300 for the deluxe version.

The additional deluxe helmet actually looks better than the standard one.

It shouldn't but I can't understand why else they wouldn't give us a better helmet. In some of those shots it does look like different helmets but they're somehow worse looking to me than the ROTJ version. Also, the flight suit seems to be the wrong colour.

Other things bugged me on the rotj. Black wrist pegs, gauntlets seemed huge around the wrists and that helmet...

Selling my Boba Fett Deluxe ROTJ in perfect condition if someone is interested.

Maybe I’m in the “Circa” that has seen V1 SS, SS Jango, HT ROTJ, SS V2 Boba Fett. With each incarnation and flaws of these 1/6 Boba Fett’s our expectation for HT ESB Fett becomes greater. But parallel to that the impact of a 1/6” Fett lessons (we have seen so many). Compare this to new collectors with HT ESB Fett as their first opportunity to own 1/6 Fett. I would imaging their head over heels, jumping for joy, full of excitement. For us that have seen our share HT ESB Fett is "below expectation, alright, no need to get this I have ROTJ, not to improved from SS”. I am in the camp that felt that the ROTJ Fett provided little for me to upgrade my SS Fett (I even took my SS Fett to the Store and compared the the HT), and with this new HT ESB I feel the same way. I’m not head over heels with the new ESB Fett. If anything it feels like HT is “cutting corners”.

I think they know the helmet is off. They just don’t care. That’s why every promo pic has the head posed looking slightly down in an effort to try and hide the inaccuracies. Also, overall it looks like a little kid cosplaying as Boba Fett. It’s such a bummer, if HT had addressed all the issues then I would without a doubt be getting this and the holiday special Fetts.

Having the ROTJ version, though, at least you can pose it with the sarlaac base in a dynamic way that takes the focus off of the weird proportions. I have thought about selling mine but it doesn’t seem like there will be a better Fett anytime for many years to come.

Well Boba does have a jetpack, it's for flight poses.

Makes sense. Still a regression to me though. if this waist grabber is meant to allow for flight poses, ROTJ Fett was a much better offer with crotch grabber for standing poses and a specifically designed flight stand.

To the more experienced HT and SSC buyers, what are the chances that it’ll change from this point. I noticed that the helmet ‘scarring’ paint app is different to the ROTJ but still not really accurate to ESB although it is closer.

It comes with two different spats for the boots? ESB has correct straps, but the Prepro has the ROTJ style Spats? Does that mean it comes with both, or was the person posing it **** enough to go find ROTJ spats to put on the Prepro?

It's ok. I already have 2 medicom, 1 ssc, and the hot toys ROTJ fett though. I kind of feel I only need parted pieces rather than the whole thing.
