dudes... the helmets are the same.

For those questioning "which helmet is best", they are all the same. From Sideshow to HT, they are the exact same. Main issue being the T Visor is too long, the helmet should not have this loong face. So really it's up to what accessories / colors of the version you like most. We can all unanimously agree the Sideshow paint scheme of the ESB version 1 (version 2 slightly improved) is the poorest of all. If the paintwork shown here on the HT ESB, then surely this will be better than the SSC ESB version. Aside from that, it's about what armor do you like more? ROTJ style with red gauntlets and colored jetpack? or ESB with subdued green colors. You also have the choice of Mythos and Animated and Supertrooper which have a little more creative liberty to them outside of the original movies.

Thanks for that!

I actually see a bit more flare in the ESB helmet even with the slight tilt -- which means there's even more flare than shown. Not huge but its there. You can tell the angle by the extra distance between where the scope attaches to the helmet in both. More distance needed on ESB to make the rangefinder go up straight.

I see what you mean about the range finder, but I think the production ROTJ helmet that HT released has the same extra distance between the scope and the helmet. I checked my ROTJ helmet, and noticed it. Don't know why it's different than the promo photos. :dunno I'll try to take a pic of it later (hopefully someone beats me to it). But for now, here's another comparison of the new ESB figure between two shots from movie Fett. Next time I watch ESB, I'm going to have to remember to check his knee pads in that scene; in the movie pic on the left, the knee pads are reversed. :lol

^^^ ajp4mgs, in the carbonite chamber scene the knee pads were also placed upside down, round part facing upward.

I never noticed. Thanks for pointing that out! Costume continuity must not have been too important during filming back in the day. :lol

Hopefully something changes. I really was looking forward to this and I won't buy another Fett with an inaccurate bucket. I really am with some of you who are trying to like it.

They wont change it. It's how the helmet has been used across all versions so far, changing that basically says everything else made up until this point are all inaccurate and worthless lol. For sake of continuity, every Fett that can be made, will be made with this bucket. Until the next round of upgrade versions ;)

I've got this poster in my office I see that helmet everyday. Gah. Even the flight suit color isn't accurate.

That poster looks really saturated.

I would imagine that HT will make adjustments that it can as long as its not costly. Final suit color may be more accurate. Helmet change is 50/50 chance.

Yeah, that's my fault I tried to reduce the glare by tinkering with the effects.

Why are parts of this image blurred out/missing? Range finder/elbow/gun etc?

The fake depth of field effects on new phones can blur out things in the foreground, especially if they’re thin like the rangefinder or rifle when it generates the bokeh in the background.
