Those multiple angle images they've shown on their Twitter feed of the helmet do make it look much more flared than the ROTJ version. I don't know how much o that is down to the colouration and the difference in rangefinder and opposite side panel.

Thanks Aj for the picture :duff I've just done a quick bit of PS on it so that the head sits further down on the neck. I think it looks pretty good. I may have to dig my Medicom out and Mod my ROTJ HT Boba. Thanks again.

Sure thing. :duff The PS adjustment you made also has me thinking it might be worth the modification after all.

Incidentally, I used PS a little myself to rotate one of the new HT ESB Boba pics to be lined up better with a classic movie pic. I think the HT ESB helmet actually gets really close to a match from this angle. The vertical part with the black T-visor is still a bit long, but not by too much. I'd love to see a good straight-ahead shot (with no head tilt), but it does seem that the minor changes from the ROTJ sculpt work well. Wor-Gar was absolutely right a few pages back about the helmets being slightly different. I won't ever doubt your eagle-eye again, Wor-Gar. :bow

What does PS mean?

Photoshop I think...

A $25 discount code softened things a little anyway. If that helmet gets tweaked even slightly from here, looking at those helmet angles, I'll be very happy.

I emailed them (only took a minute of my time so why not). They SAID they have forwarded it onto their design and production team for reference, but I doubt it.

I just want that yellow gauntlet. :)

Why not offer up a proper pre-production with blue suit as a separate figure? It would sell.

It might help if they shortened his neck. To me, it looks like there's too much neck showing, which throws off the likeness.

I just pulled the trigger on this from BBTS. I have the ROTJ Boba Fett and love it. I know I know, proportions are off for the bucket on that one as well as this ESB version, but it doesn't ruin it for me. I know people here like the Medicom helmet (they did seem to get the flare at the bottom right) but I am really happy with Hot Toys work. I prefer Boba's ESB look, and the fact that they included the PP1 armor is pretty awesome. I pretty much agree with everyone else tho, I'd have loved if it came with Han in carbonite. Regardless, I love this art medium and these are still way better than anything I could have dreamed of or was able to get the last 30 years so I'm pretty stoked for this release... in a year.

There's definitely a couple of subtle differences between the two...notably the more pronounced depth of the cheeks (which look more accurate) and the top part of the visor is wider(which is not accurate)...a case of one step forward and two steps back...

Personally I think that it is the fact the chest armour sits way too high in the photos.

Almost at the collarbone.

POed at BBTS as well. Just love the NRD and I'm in Cali so don't want this to turn into a $300 figure with tax and shipping.
