I just had to fool around with one of Matrix's beautiful pics to capture the colour pallet of the movie.

It's a shame the quality drastically reduced when I uploaded it.

As someone pointed out, the colouring of the figure probably is pretty spot-on, but it's just the way it comes off onscreen and pics that make it look like a different shade. I think I'll be displaying mine with this particular epic Boba 'No such thing as a museum pose' Fett look.

The only issue I have with the deeper shade of green is that, even with all the chips and dings everywhere, it gives the armor a freshly painted look that makes it seem not nearly as old and worn as it should be. A paler shade of green would have given it that extra bit of realism it needed I think.

Still though, even with the color not being perfect it's a great looking figure in hand and looks really cool on display.

Anyone else who's ordered from KGhobby and had their order shipped? I thought this had been released in Hong Kong, but yet no shipping information from them. They are usually very quick in getting their shippments down, but this time it seems I'll have him the same time as sideshow customers get theirs. I did get the deluxe though, maybe it's only the standard that gets released early?

No news yet.

Sometimes they can be really early, and sometimes after Sideshow start delivering.

Awesome pics!

I've had my deluxe for about a week now, but haven't had proper time to open him up and enjoy him yet. I'm thinking on going with the prepro look, and using the ESB helmet on my SSC V2 Fett.

Love the shots as always, matrix!

Seeing those comparisons to the SS and the HT ROTJ, I get my personal confirmation why I never bought a 1:6 Boba Fett before, and now finally pulled the trigger.

very nice shots Matrix and thanks for the comparisons

These are just fantastic poses.

that last picture will not let me sleep tonight, too much envy... Fett is all stock? looks superb.
That's straight from the box...all stock.
Nice! What do you think of the armor/helmet color in hand? I would love to see what the ESB helmet looks like on the ROTJ body.

I watched empire again last night...as i like to use Blu-ray as reference when it comes to colours...and for me they're pretty close to accurate...i do wish the knee guards were more yellow though.
In the few scenes that he is in lighting plays a huge part in giving the wrong perception of color anyway...so the different green hues of the armor is not really an issue for me.

I'll post a pic of ESB/ROTJ combo
Helmet shape is so much better on the HT.

Really great comparisons, all of them.
Ironically there are parts of the SS helmet that are more accurate.
Great shots! For me the only let down with this figure is the wrist pegs and gloves sculpts. Why they didn’t address those issues from the previous ROTJ figure on this release is beyond me.
Agree..and they shouldn't be shiny either.

Cool!
Yeah...when I look at some of the best Dented Helmet/501st builds, the colors look like the Hot Toys figure. My brain still sees Fett colors through whatever filter/lighting was used in the film.
And...I agree with everything you’ve said about the helmet’s accuracy. They fixed some things for the better (for sure), but invented some new inaccuracies. Go figure. It baffles me.

First thing I'm doing is hitting those mega-gloss hands with some matte clear. Can't believe they went with those softie shiny hands again.:gah:

Loving the prepro look. What us oldies remember is that look - as much as how he looks in the film - was how Fett was pictured in magazines, posters and ads in 1980, even after the movie came out.

So this look is not like the SW Holiday Special look or white proto look. In 1980, this look was just as seen as the film look, and it was just as memorable because those posters and mags were stared at for hours

I completely agree! When I first saw this, I thought “this is *my* Boba Fett!” Ahhh, the power of nostalgia

Having first appeared in a parade in 1978, followed a couple of months later in the Holiday Special, it was easy back then to forget exactly what Fett looked like. Before all the prepro promotional images, the Fett mail away prototype was what I clung to with anticipation visually.

As much as I wanted it, my parents didn’t help me with the whole mail away thing. I don’t think they grasped my obsession, and thought I was just in it for the novelty of getting something in the mail. Luckily, one of my friends, living down the street, had just received it...wasn’t thrilled and I traded him 2 matchbox cars for it, box and all. I’m still thrilled about that trade.

SOME QUICK SNAPS nothing posed properly yet . Just took him out a few moments ago.

I ordered from ebay seller in Hong Kong " Goodshipped" . he sent it on Thursday last week and just got in today.
The visor appears wider in photos than in person for some reason . in hand the visor seems spot on.
ZERO COMPLAINTS - and I have had many 1/6 Boba's all the old customization and futzing to get those old ones right none of that is required with this one. The base is really nice too , its just a regular Hot Toys Star Wars repaint , but the color looks amazing with this stand.

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FIGURE !!!

Nice pics! Can’t wait to get this figure in hand. By the way does the jumpsuit on this one have more of a blue hue compared to the ROTJ version? It looks like it does.

That was a great swap! Tell me did you get him home triple box him up in anticipation of the huge value he’d be worth in the future :) if you were anything like me the box would be in the trash and Boba would be thrown from one end of the street to the other, simulating his jet pack flight of course :)
