First thing I am going to do on the ESB Fett: tone down the shiny gloves............it does look very nice overall

Has anyone tried reducing the length of the rangefinder on this or the ROTJ version? I’m thinking about attempting that when mine finally arrives. Looking at my ROTJ version I don’t think it should be too difficult. I’m thinking of cutting the stem at the desired height and then, dremmel a recess that’s the same shape as the stem in the bottom of the rangefinder tip. Finally glue the tip back onto the top of the stem. Do you guys think I should risk it?

Ive thought about that exact procedure but have yet to try it.

The rangefinder might look a bit long in pics, but in hand it doesn't stand out or feel like much of an issue to me at all.

Just remember the gloves are meant to be a tad shiny . The light grey parts are meant to be same material as the flak vest it has a slight sheen.

The dark grey parts ( meant to resemble cricket bat player gloves ( KEVLAR ? Swade ? ) should be a little less shiny . Spray on some dull coat , but remember only to use Tamiya, using that paint for cars etc and regular off shelf spray paint will damage the paint on the hands .

Gloves
Dark grey gloves with white quilted patches on the fingers and back of hands which match visual reference.
Padding on the back of the right glove is longer than the left.
Gloves are weathered to match visual reference.

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
White Military Dress Gloves (or replicas) with the button on the inner wrist are used and dyed dark gray.
Padding on gloves is made from the shiny side of the same tackle twill material used on the vest and sewn onto the gloves.

Made a few more tweaks to this guy....gave the gloves a shot of dull coat...and added some padding inside the neck seal as it looked a little thin..

That's what i've just finished doing... my old SS version with the PRO 1 gear...but you will need to change the neck joint on the SS version..as it's too long..

That dull coat really helps. Night/day!
It’s really nice that people can use their SSC Fett to show off the prepro gear. It’s a nice way to upgrade and replace the ESB Fett without thinking you’ve wasted your $$. Looks great too!
