Hot Toys 1/6 Hoth Leia

Off topic - but what are the odds that Hot Toys will ever make a Ceremony Leia from the end of ANH?

I'm guessing it doesn't have widespread appeal of her other wardrobes to sell enough, but that's one of my favorite Leia looks.

Agreed. In fact for whatever reason it was her Endor look which sent my childhood crush into the stratosphere, not her bikini.

I always thought the best scene was when she had been shot. When Han said "I love you" and she replied "I know" at the bunker scene.
They each got a chance to be strong for each other when one of them was facing danger and trying to be cool. He was being cool in the carbon freeze chamber and she got her chance too at the bunker.
It signalled a mellowing of them both, and Han's admittance sealed the deal.
But the endor hairdo above is very similar to the Hoth one. Although slightly less coiffed.

Leia disguised as Boushh would be in my top 5 all time Hot Toys wants...but there is as much likelihood of them releasing that as a two pack with Slave Leia as there is of them releasing a DX Joker 3.0 where the bonus accessory is the pile of money he burns and it is an actual pile of millions of dollars in cash.

I didn't have access to those pics as a child, only the movies themselves and screenshots posted in magazines/movie books/trading cards, etc. So to me her Camo look was the cutest.

The only time she smiled in her Hoth outfit was after Lando kissed her hand. But that top pic you posted. Damn...

I know that SSC is the official distributor of Hot Toys in the US but is this in fact how the distribution works?

It seems some type of logistics or efficiency expert would have recommended that the figures ship directly from the factories in Asia to BTTS in WI (rather than make a stop at SSC in CA).

Don't think there's a port in Wisconsin. So no matter what they're all likely coming through California.

SS used to have a European warehouse supposedly and it seems they might have some Hong Kong warehouse now since they've started shipping from there for some folks now.

Yeah the slave outfit might be the most iconic, but I've always thought she looked far cuter in the Endor scenes for whatever reason, and would much rather have a figure of that. And plus its just a more interesting outfit in my opinion.

My crush was Leia in her red bespin outfit. It was a night and day difference from what she had up to that point. I'm hopeful we will get that version. I think her least appealing look is the long hair out on endor look. Otherwise she's hot the rest of ROTJ.

With Hoth Leia here, I'm feeling glad I did not pull the trigger on a SST Luke Hoth couple of months back. A Luke Hoth should be on the horizon.
Will get Leia Hoth to go with my SST Han Hoth. When Luke is here, I will be basically done with ESB.

I find that unlikely - has it really been long enough? Sideshow seem to have ESB sewn up. They were done with Yoda and the Snowtroopers, so HT did those, but I can't see them doing Hoth Luke and Han for a few more years. I think Hoth Leia is an exception because of Carrie's passing, otherwise HT seem rather to be focussed on ROTJ from the OT.

And anyway what does 'horizon' mean in 1/6 anymore? Two years minimum for a HT Hoth Luke given that Jedi Luke is coming but hasn't even been shown yet and a year seems to be standard now. Then there's the fact that we're getting three Star Wars films in 18 months (can't believe I just typed that, good times indeed). Why would they dip into ESB when they have so many current properties to make toys out of? I also wonder if they'll revisit Bespin Luke, perhaps with Yoda and a backpack (didn't Jack Bauer say he thought training Luke was coming? Apologies if I've misremembered that).

I think Leia's Hoth look is being done because that's basically her look throughout the film. I bet if we get Luke and Han in their Hoth gear from Hot Toys it'll be a while. My guess is Bespin Han and a Lando will be next from The Empire Strikes Back. I'm curious as to whether they'll revisit Luke's Bespin look.

The whole point of a distributor is there is someone to handle the 50-100 odd retailers across the country rather than shipping to every single one.

Well, either they get more or people cancel. That's the nice thing about BBTS. Even if the product sold out, there's a good chance you can still snag it when someone else gets cold feet.
