It's a popular figure yet I don't see the prices going up ala Mark 6 or Mark 47. It seems like Hot Toys noticed the aftermarket prices on those and decided to up production numbers. Could be totally wrong. Just speculating.

Agreed... it's not sold out from Sideshow but IS from BBTS who had a big allotment because they had it available for quite awhile. Price on this will go up soon after it sells out - my favorite diecast IM

Waitlist converted for the exclusive on Sideshow. In the past, you had 24 hours to keep/cancel the conversion, but the "new" system gives you 2 days to add it to your cart (pending availability), plus 5 minutes to check out. Not sure if it's better or worse, but kinda neat.

Mind if I ask when did you put the Exclusive on your wailist?

MARK VII! Such an amazing figure!

I really want to do some reviews or top ten figure lists and see it from other Sideshow freaks as well. Might be fun. Anyways...this guy is definitely in the top ten.

That's not the way I read it. From what I understand when something on the waitlist becomes available they email everyone on the waitlist and the first person who goes to the site and completes the order gets it.

Definitely a top 5 for me. He?s such a beast

Sorry, I honestly don't remember, but it was probably shortly after it went to waitlist. I have no idea when that was, but I did check this thread somewhat regularly, so I would've found out when it went to waitlist. I remember waffling back and forth on preordering (should've used one of the 10% pop-up coupons that were all the rage...) and put myself on the waitlist just in case.

The way it was phrased, it sounded like there was a small allotment that was available for purchase (first come, first served) with multiple people receiving an email notification. But these can't be going to everyone on the waitlist- someone else had a waitlist conversion earlier, and I definitely did not receive an email then. And it seems like Hologram AI didn't get an email either when I got mine this week. My guess is that they're doing these waitlist conversions in batches.

Fun fact- the exclusive is coupon eligible!

The reason for the Mk IV price not going up may be due to the fact that it's too similar to the Mk VI. I know I passed on the IV since I already had the VI...to me I was paying $320 for a different chest piece...just didn't seem worth it to me.

Mark IV prices are pretty crazy now. Was looking to get one and it's around $750 on eBay and $600 on the FB groups. Just something about Iron Man I guess.

Yeah the IV doesn't come with all that much, but its a very popular armor. The III has some funny proportions so I've noticed alot of collectors picking the IV as their sole classic representation of the character in their respective collections. Meanwhile other collectors really love putting the IV in a laid-back chilling pose with the sunglasses, donut, and coffee cup. I sold one of my sealed ones back in late February and market prices were also 600-700 at the time.

Agreeed!! This VII is my favorite IM armor, bar the quarter scales.

I ended up getting the IV Gantry because the VI was unaffordable. Funny thing is that the Gantry ed. is the best value. You can just keep the IV and sell the Gantry. I still like the VI set more but the IV can tide me over till they eventually rerelease or I do something crazy and buy it.

This is probably my favorite armor, heavy sturdy and great posing possibilities. Design is great, though I could do without the pod mode options, since the ex came with the little plastic version. Some crappy pics how my work at home desk looks like. The 46 is great as well, but lack of proper neck articulation is a bit of a downside. The 50 would also be better with more articulation in neck and legs. The 6 comes close to the mark 7, but its build is more loose compared to the 7, at least on mine it is. Design wise it?s a toss up between the two.
