Yeah i'm about done also. I love IM and i am closing in on about 40 IM figures (including this and the IW IM and WM). But $400 plus is getting harder to justify. I am passing on other non IM figures that i would have picked up to put that money towards these.

I am hoping they make more HPP suits in plastic that are more affordable but it's been awhile since they introduced a new one..

Yeah i think the IM3 popularity is mostly over with. I wanted a lot of suits from that movie msyelf like hammerhead and piston. I seriously doubt they will ever be the old plastic prices ever again though. The old 230$ days are over. Honestly my budget per figure really can't handle 400$. Affording 300$ figures is challenging enough.

For this and War Machine I’ll be sacrificing another figure each that I may have otherwise bought. So, in the end, HT will be getting less money from me because of these increased prices. Not that it matters to them, I’m sure.

The perennial diecast v. plastic debate is moot for me.

I admit that part of the experience for me with a collectible *is* tactile, so the added weight is pleasing.

But it's not the selling point.

Contemporary diecast figures generally have superior proportions and better engineering. I hold this to be self-evident.

Weight isn’t why they stand better. The newer plastic figures all stand well. The 1/4 figures stand well. It’s newer engineering is all.
Ya...

This figure is really affordable. In a years time, Hot Toys and Sideshow will be asking at least $500 for a standard Iron Man and $700 for the deluxe Iron Man with all the bells and whistles, and spinning rims.

Better get this one before these suckers realize this should be priced at $728

I love my Iron Man figures. I have a good bunch of the diecast ones and really think they are top notch.

But I don't feel the urge to get this one. Gotta put the brakes on IM in order to save for 1/4 Vader and Darth Maul figures.

With the IV and L on preorder, I'll get this, see what armour is in IW2 and then I'm out of the HT Iron Man game, HT have finally priced me out (it really helps that it will Downey's last as well). In the last 8 years I've been collecting the figures, they have gone from around £140 to £400 so it's time to call it a day I think.

I have 5 Ironman figures plus Iron Patriot, War Machine 3 and Heartbreaker. I am done with Iron Man figures so these high prices don't affect me. I am looking forward to seeing pictures of this new mostly plastic Mark 7 standing next to the old ones so we can see how far Hot Toys have come in the last few years. I have both the regular and battle damaged mark 7 and I won't be upgrading.

I really don't get the love for the MK7 armor. I've always found the MK6 more pleasing as far as old school IM design. The MK7 body looks roundish on the upper body, for my lack of a better term to describe it.

Still, this is tempting to PO just for the sake of completion of the earlier armors.

I'm on the same boat. MK6 over MK7 anyday. MK6 is MY Avengers Iron Man.

Easy fix for me mark 7 for avengers circle pose and mark 6 with war machine mark 1 vs whiplash or back too back pose

Well played HT you have made MK 4 with gantry look like a bargain. But I am ordering this anyway. Now just waiting on the MK 1 and then.....

I have VI, VII, XXXIII, XLV & DC VI, and this DC VII will be my final HT IM for sure. Just waiting for card cutoff before plunging head first into this one. Used all my available points on The Wasp, so this one will be hard to swallow...But oh well, too bad this is one of my grail figures...especially after the glorious DC Mark VI!

Same here. I have the L and VII on PO, after those 2 and the Mk I’m done with Iron Man. That is unless there is some kind of crazy Infinity stone armor he dons in A4.

I'm trying to think of the iron man figures I have, it isn't many: mark 1, 1.0 and 2.0, original mark 3 (that's actually still one of my favorites), the plastic mark 6, stealth, and die cast mark 6. This will be my last unless there is a diecast mark 1. The mark 1 is my all time favorite figure. They could charge 500 for that and I would buy it.

I only have Starboost (he’s my GotG Ironman, I don’t care what anyone else or cannon says!) and the Stealth MK VII. I always wanted a III or a VII as my only ‘classic’ Ironman. I ordered the III but cancelled cos he wasn’t quite right so I’ve been hoping for the VII DC ever since. Disappointed I have to pay silly money for him but still not much difference than I’d have to pay for the original one on EBay. This will certainly be my last IM. He’s gorgeous though.
