Heres an old review of the Aoshima 12" Endoskeleton. The Hot Toys one seems to have a better sculpt, better paint app and more articulation.

I wonder if theyll use the same "chrome" paint application as they did on the Predators wrist blades and small knife. Thats the best chrome finish I ever saw on plastic.

Best "metallic" finish I have ever seen is the HT Robocop, I think this guy needs a little black wash shading around the joints and he'll be perfect.

wow. i forgot that Franco was in T1. that's Arnie's old competion buddy. he's a pretty short guy tho so not sure if putting him on a big boy body would work.

For some reason this HT endoskeleton reminds me of Neca's 18"er
It would definitly benefit from a nice chrome paint job

I agree. I expect a more chrome plated look - or at least that's how I remember them looking in the kickass opening sequence from T2.

Also - the legs look a little too think.

Pretty cool though.

Well if it's chrome you want, that's an easy custom. Just prime that b!tch and spray on some chrome plating. Piece of cake upgrade, in fact, that's what I'm planning on doing with one of them.

As for Franco being short, who can tell from his appearance in T1? He's a Terminator so ideally he's going to be over 6 feet in height. I never liked that lanky Buck body they used on the Ash figure. Franco is pretty built so he needs a Big Boy. He'd make a kick ass Terminator in 1:6 idealized scale.

You could almost take Army of Darkness Ash and put his clothes on a bigboy body and tear them up and use the smartgun from the HT T-800.

A better match would be to use a Dragon or DID made Browning .30 cal or .50 cal machine gun. From what it looks like, it appears to be the .50 cal version. But I have doubts about that since it would tear the guy's arm off if he tried to fire the damn thing the way he is in the movie.

Agreed. It's way too clean. I waited forever for a Aoshima "Weathered Version" for the same reason. I do like the teeth though.

I have the weathered version and the paint is tacky to the touch. It also doesn't come with the mart gun, it comes with the AR-18 machine gun the Terminator used in the police station shootout. Although this is the only AR-18 made in 1/6 scale, I'd still rather have the smart gun.
If I could chose again, I'd get the non weathered Aoshima or this Hot Toys version.

Don't be too upset about this Hot Toys Endo being too "clean". I won't be surprised that they will release a weathered or battle damaged version.

I cant really tell from the pics, but do you think all the pistons in the shoulder/chest area move? Do they move on the Aoshima verison?

I'm not 100% sure because mine is boxed up, but I believe the pistons on the chest don't move on Aoshima's version. They do move on the arms, legs, and stomach.

I was going to get the Aoshima long ago too but never did. Certainly HT has made an effort to make this one superior. Although, to me, it doesn't look like the pistons on the chest move -- just the arms and legs by necessity. I do hope the jaw moves.

I have a feeling from the way the teeth are painted that the jaw does not move which is alright with me because my 18" Neca won't keep his jaw closed and I have to look at some embarrasing endo with his mouth gaping open like Evil Ash.
