Sideshow doesn't have the license to produce many if not all of the Electric Tiki characters but they distribute those. They don't have the license to produce sixth scale Marvel figures or Aliens figures or Robocop figures or Rambo figures and many many more, yet they distribute those through Medicom and Hot Toys.

Besides this Endo is not a T1 figure anyway, the T1 endo had a different chest plate and never carried a gun in the picture as I recall and the T1 endo had ball toes so SSC could still call this a T2 or T3 Endo and distribute it...

I'm guessing any US distribution deal HT or Medicom does for a particular figure is based on distribution territory rights or a previously existing deal with other partners participating in the financing of a particular figure... whether its gentle giant or Master Replicas (as it was for Sparrow). In effect I think SSC gets invited to participate in distribution deals on a line by line or fig by fig basis. (e.g. blister exclusive, mail order exclusive, etc.)
Good point about the Electric Tiki Characters, I'm not sure how they are able to do it, but Sideshow has repeatedly said don't expect Terminator 1 figures because of the rights issues.
Sideshow does have the license for Aliens, Predator, and Marvel on other items, maybe it's because of the existing licenses they are allowed to import them but not have official 1/6 production rights in the States?

It may look like it's from other films, but it says right there in the Legal:
T1, The Terminator, Endoskeleton, and any depiction of Endoskeleton are TM & © StudioCanal Image etc...
Sideshow does have a deal with Studio Canal, I'm not sure why but it doesn't include the first film.
I really would like Sideshow to comment on this, but I do think Sideshow will eventually release a 1/6 Endo, but it will be under Terminator 2 and that won't be until after the first run of the figure.

This one looks amazing but I think I'll wait until SSC comes out with theirs. I don't think I'll be able to swing the price on these in time with everything I have on PO with SSC. That's weird that SSC's deal doesn't include Terminator 1....I wonder if we'll get some T3 figures...I wouldn't mind a nicely done TX...

Then you will be waiting for a bus that will never arrive I'm afraid. It is highly improbable Sideshow will do an endo given the license issue. They may have done a superb PF and lifesize models but HT appears to have the definitive endo in 1:6 scale so SS probably wouldn't bother developing one to compete with it.

Agreed. The best we can hope for is a battle damaged Arnold from the end of T2.

Let us know what they say Pjam! Im getting itchy to order one from Toys2!

Not looking good... Alter Ego said if SSC doesn't offer them, they won't either, same goes with DSC, so it looks like this first wave may already be set up distribution wise. I'm still going to wait a few weeks because it is a wide release and won't sell out by then IMO.

So far, I see BBTS has them at 170 and Toy Square at 119...

Toy Square's shipping to the US takes away almost any advantage in pricing.

TS is 119 plus $20 shipping from Canada, far below BBTS... 140 vs 180 shipped...

Toy Square = $129.99 + $20.41 UPS Ground Shipping = $150.40
Total savings from Toy Square = $33.08

From Toy Square you can select Canada Post to save money. They'll send it through the Post Office, so don't expect a tracking email when it ships.
I've done it a few times and it worked out fine for me.

Canada Post is $21.85 so it is more than UPS Standard. In my shopping cart now.

I wanted to order two Generation Life Nude figures from Toy Square. But shipping is $27.47 Canada Post. There are no options for UPS Ground.

Check again justin, they DO offer UPS as I recall, will appear as shipping option when you P.O. But I don't believe their is much difference in cost to Cal.

That's odd because in my shopping cart there is a drop down to select either UPS or Canada Post and then update to show updated order total. Unless you live in Canada, Canada Post may be the only option you have but for those of us in the States, it makes more sense to go with UPS as it is cheaper than Post.
